  • What are the names of the two guests?

  • @zinpgh Daniel B Wallace and Darrel Bock

  • If you read through the Bible,it is the same theme throughout the Bible,Old and New Testament, and what Jesus said, the Old Testament declares.

I read through the Bible, and if the copies were off of the meaning of the originals I would have noticed, for there would be big contradictions in doctrines, but the theme is the same throughout the Bible.

If the copies were that bad the Bible would have big contradictions,in which by now nobody would follow it,so the theme has to be the same throughout.

  • emily got a bunny for her birthday.

emily got a big bunny for her birthday

emily recieved a pink bunny for her birthday

emily got a rabbit as a birthday gift

emily got a nice bunny for her birthday.

what did emily recieve for her birthday? Really does the principle change with a few words? Same with biblical text. the message hasn't changed a bit. you can understand what is conveyed. if one bickers over tiny words its a fight for some justification to discredit it. Nonsense

  • Very cool stuff :) Thanks ..

  • @2n2is3 Point being"scribes" made mistakes, not God in the originally inspired texts but we have more than plenty of texts from all around the world, even from independent sources separated from each other to confirm what we have reflects the originals

  • "...find me an amputee and have him regenerate a limb."

    Idiotic request, you'll forgive me.

Suppose for a moment that God IS a dog-and-pony act. How should He restore the limb to your satisfaction? Then, how would you know GOD did it? Some attributed Jesus' miracles to Satan. When you cut yourself, how do you explain THAT healing process?

Point: are you just trying to stump Christians so you can say "Gotcha?" Why not ask God to make the nighttime stars dance like Las Vegas lights?

  • @2n2is3 guess he did! good video

  • @2n2is3 He he, does Prince Charles personally sign all his birthday card invitations? No, he has some Schlepped retainer do it for him because he's got better things to do with his time, same with God. He couldn't care less if some fat liberals want to sit there and nit pick some irrelevant typo's. It's only their own rumps that will be roasting in the end. Maybe God don't want nitpickers at his birth-day party and that's why he made the Bible so un-credible..ever think about that?

  • @2n2is3 rofl God doesn't make mistakes, wouldn't it be the men who wrote it down accidentally making errors? and wouldn't it be errors made from the original text it would be the copies of the text, this is the problem, people don't answer their own questions first, they just like to hear themselves speak and say "HA I GOT YA" before thinking, sorry, no.And the 10 Commandments is what you'd be referring to that "the finger of God" actually wrote himself on stone. Those are extremely significant..

  • Bart D. Ehrman is an American New Testament scholar? I will definitely admit he is a critic, but must be a matchbook scholar. He states that in The Gospel of Mark, there is a copy that says Isaiah, and then he says, "It is not Isaiah, the passage that is quoted is from Exodus." It is in fact from Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for out God. A critic for sure, but scholar? NOT

  • @blackeyedturtle

Ehrman is a scholar - you are not.

Ehrman is correctly referring to Exodus 23:20 (repeated in Malachi 3:1) in connection with Mark 1:2

"Behold I am sending my messenger before you.."

You are referring to Mark 1:3 which was not what Ehrman was talking about

  • @2n2is3

You're really not a thinker, are you? God used FALLIBLE people of all walks to relate His truth to the world. This my friend, DOES show the power of God. How? Because He can preserve His truth even in the midst of man's failings. Additionally, these "mistakes" also serve as a weed-out tool. You see, those, like you, who don't have faith, will choke over a gnat and swallow the camel, and don't have any problems. Simply put, you love sin too much to see truth.

  • @2n2is3

    (cont.)

You're also making a moral judgment, by judging God for this mix-up? Sure the Bible is infallible, the text differs not on the message just on spelling errors made by men. Finally, the fact that you acknowledge these mistakes means you acknowledge the validity of the text itself. If it's not a valid text, then you wouldn't expect there to be such minor errors, but more HUGE mistakes like difference in the entire message.

No offense, but you need to stop using cop-outs.

  • @2n2is3

"According to these scholars, of the 400,000 or so inconsistencies in the Bible"You are way too damn stupid , way too damn stupid, to be looking into this discussion i've just listened to 2min10sec, and i'm an atheist by the way. And clearly they're talking about textual variants, not just "inconsistencies". You haven't thought this through, your brain isn't up to it.The problem is when scribes make copies. And it's not easy in times of war and violence, to keep originals

  • hard to believe people make a living doing this.

  • Lol Bart Ergam's teacher was a believing Christian... Bruce Munster, the point of these scholars findings is that these textual variences do not in anyway damage any of the doctrines or beliefs of our faith... TXRUAL CRITICISM IF UNDERSTOOD IS THE FREIND OF CHRISTIANITY AND THE DEATH OF ISLAM!

  • @2n2is3 There are no problems with the Biblical texts.. there would only be a problem if we were not able to go back to the original readings of the text.. where ever there are significant variances, u still can examine all the material and come to a conclusion whats the correct among the 2 variant readings in the manuscripts..

And the point is that we have enough manuscripts to compare with eachother to figure out where scribes made mistakes.

  • @OneBibleOneGod so why would an all powerful, all knowing god who created the entire universe not be able to ensure the original texts survived 100% intact? The more you "biblical scholars" bend over backwards to point out all these justifications for all the thousands of human errors, the more it really seems like apologizing for what you know to be true, none of this is divine revelation. Its just a story book written by people.

  • @mrrealtime The only thing that all the manuscripts i.e copies of the New Testament suggest including the variances is that there was a great effort and intention on the part of the scribes to copy it accurately.. there is nothing in the variances that suggest that the books were inspired by people who wanted to be creative one day. And i tell u why God did it this way its because He wants people to have faith and not a text that has been preserved letter for letter.. and it is PRESERVED

  • @mrrealtime And there is no "bending over backwards" on the part of these scholars.. what these scholars are saying is completely supported by the evidence. And what errors? Since when are spelling mistakes such a big deal? Since when are a bunch of variances in a collection books as the Bible such a big deal? I know why because people want reasons to not believe in God, not believe in the Bible so that they can live the sinful life they desire

  • @OneBibleOneGod so true

  • @mrrealtime if he did that...we would have only one manuscript tradition and you and every other non-believer would say, well you only have one manuscript, how can you know you can trust that one? Why wouldn't an all knowing God preserve more than one? and so on and so on and so on.

  • @Follower172

If there were many copies of the same manuscripts around the world that were identical, then there'd be a case for your god. But I'll give you something to do so you can prove he exists... find me an amputee and have him regenerate a limb.

  • @mrrealtime God lets it happen cause of sin, and for faith n trust if you let the opinion of 1 man effect what you believe...then your faith and security in salvation was never there...that's why God lets it happen this is only for Gods sheep. john 10: 26But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
