@iheartbostonbell@hstetten2011 turns out we now have a Boston Terrier, and he does really well with the ferrets! He's a sweetheart, friendly dog. Mostly each goes about their own business. Sometimes the ferrets will try to play with the BT, but after a while he'll get too excited and try to paw them, then they hide under the couch. We always supervise though.
We ended up getting rid of Freddie and his partner Jasmine later on bc my daughters' didn't take care of them like they should and I didn't have the time...but this makes me miss having a ferret :(
@sarahblam wow i just now read this...i raised my terrier with all kinds of animals from the time he was 6 wks old...Boston's are just great dogs all around...don't know what I'd do without him
Bostons are so smart! I love how they do the worm, its like hes doing on purpose, getting down to the ferrets level as to not scare him and let him know he just wants to play. So great!!!!! My two favorite animals!
Impressive to see a terrier that does well with ferrets - they tend to be very prey driven. Yours plays very nice. The "worm" on the grass was hilarious - even upside down LOL
Don't you love how ballsy ferrets are? Your dog's not that big but still HUGE compared to the ferret. And yet he has no fear. Mine were like that as well with Jake - my Newf/Lab pup. And still are even though he's now 100lbs. He's the referee breaking up fights when he thinks its getting too rough.
@Ferretocious Despite the name Boston terrier its not a terrier. It was bred by crossin the english bulldog and a terrier, so the name could be Boston bulldog too :D Just like French bulldog, its also a mix of the english bulldog and a terrier. Boston terriers are very good with other animals. I can let our mouse climb on our BT and he's just chilling :)
He does the worm better then i can

@cicialex Well that makes sense because unlike terriers they seem very sweet. I wouldn't trust most terriers my dog but damn Bostons are CUTE :)
