@cc428 It is a bit, relative to the extravagance of the room, but you really aren't going for the TV I suppose (yet I admit we did watch a bit on one of the evenings we stayed in --this was while all the street revolts were happening in Egypt).
amazing , i watched the video few times 720p full screen :) . its like you where living over the swiming pool, me and my wife we are thinking to go there the same place iru fushi in july 2011. what about things to do. is there any sighseeing activities? i mean we could get bored just laying on the beach for 3 weeks. is it possible to get out of the island fo some sightseeing trips ? is it exspensive? also is there any nightlife in the island? some bar or reastaurant with the music?
@HDscreenerX 3 weeks might be a bit extreme! Not only are we talking close to a grand a night, but you're stuck with whatever's available at that particular resort and could get bored. With that said, they have free snorkeling, diving, kayaking, excursions to nearby Maldivian towns, tennis, badminton, a half-dozen restaurants, two pools, bars, evening activities, fishing, cooking class, and a few more things. Prices on food can get up there, though due to their monopoly.
In response to a question I accidentally deleted (sorry!!!), the rate is in the description --I've seen rates at the various hotels in the Maldives (many of which offer water villas) range from $700 -$2000+ (and even way beyond that) per night. That doesn't even take into account the costs of getting from Male to the islands (some include a sea plane rate, others don't), and the high cost of food and drinks at these resorts.
you have no idea how jealous i am right now
