It's a miracle: a pic of Jeff at the end of the video without glasses? He does have eyes, after all... (hehe). No photoreceptors or other bits of technological strangeness.
@Nabukuduriuzhur That's John, from the last supper, that pic at the end of the ELO danger ahead montage. Check out a real clear, enhanced Last Supper. Doesn't he look the same? Hehe. What's with all this IQ crap? Smart is as smart does, and nobody can get themselves out of a black hole, anyway.

The inestimable Mr. Lynne is an excellent musician, but he has bags under his eyes. Has for years. I conject that he wears those glasses to cover them.
If you can find it, there's a Wizard video on YouTube where Wizard's front man does a song with two hand puppets, one of which looks suspiciously like Mr. Lynne with a pair of glasses falling down to reveal bags under the eyes.

1983...this was the only album I listened to. I was 15.. Secret Messages by ELO..I was a girl btw...still am.
