for a musical loving country I personally think we could of made a better national anthem, something that could be sung at sporting events, in schools etc. this one takes ages to get into the flow. All good anthems in the world get to the patriotic verses very quick, french,american,italian,english have that in it and are heard sung in unison by there people when ever it is played.
Pople should not see the version but the spirit.NATIONALISM should not be burden with mannerism but it should be like river of love and passion for country wich cant be stop by any obstacle (like corruption ,hatred or communalism etc..)

With that respect, I don't think it's a good idea to tamper with something that's preserved on a national scale. But as you said, not everything goes by rules, so I guess, I will leave it to that. :)

There is nothing degrading about it. In fact the music celebrates and promotes Indian culture and makes it accessible to worldwide audience. The music detracts nothing from the national anthem. I'm sure any Indian hearing this will fell the same emotions and sense of pride as in the official one.

This is great! I made an arrangement of Jana Gana Mana for my jazz quartet which we played on tour in India recently. Just search for "Jana Gana Mana" performed by The Charlie Porter Quartet.
i saw someone saying that tagore ji wrote this for the british raj:- plz just dont believe in stupid controversies created by some class of people to give a political colour!!! the words bhagya vidhata means "GOD" nobody else, and this was told by tagore himself that he meant it "god" and bharat bhagya vidhata cannot be any george 4 or 5...plz ppl first read the original writings then comment...there is no other song that can suit the status of our nation anthem!!!

when i first saw this movie, i was a little girl..i didn't knew what this meant but still i would have a feeling that made me emotional on this part..i mean a feeling..now i knew the real meaning behind..i am proud of my country no matter how we are but we will stand united ...i am proud to be an Indian!Never let your country down!after so many years, i still have the feeling...whenever i listen to the song...

Who has given Mr. Rehman the authority to change / remix our National Anthem?
Music is recomposed / remixed to make the duration of our National Anthem from original 52 seconds to nearly 2 minutes.
"Jai He" is actually three times in our National Anthem, here he has changed it to four times. Who has authorised him to do this??????

He made a diff version of it... thtz it. Millionz of people without any borders like... nope... love it. @usthadh007 I agree with you, but I do agree with monipun also. It's our national anthem, a national documentation, manifestation. To tamper with it can cause the person to undergo trial or even severe penalty.
With that respect, I don't think it's a good idea to tamper with something that's preserved on a national scale. But as you said, not everything goes by rules, so I guess, I will leave it to that. :)

There is nothing degrading about it. In fact the music celebrates and promotes Indian culture and makes it accessible to worldwide audience. The music detracts nothing from the national anthem. I'm sure any Indian hearing this will fell the same emotions and sense of pride as in the official one.

Isnt it a better celebration of your country now then it was before? I love this for the simple fact it allows me to hear some voices the west has never truly experienced, and thus I am truly honored. IF you find it offensive you can leave and not listen to it otherwise enjoy what is created.

This devine song was inked by the creator of highest form literature on the mother earth . It was created in 1911 in Bengali by Rabindranath Tagore , the most unique aspect of this song that it is fully transformable to most of Indian Languages without changing any word , its gramaratical sequence and meaning itself . The Jana Gana Mana was composed in December 1911, precisely at the time of the Coronation Durbar of George V, and "Bharat Bhagya vidhata" and "Adhinayaka" is considered by some to be in praise of King George V and not God. The composition was first sung during a convention of the then loyalist Indian National Congress in Calcutta on Dec. 26, 1911

@abhishekutkarsh u freak.. rabindhranath tagore himself corrected everyone later, specifically writing in a letter that he did not mean it tat way n he really was praising the god.. the british people did not understand the meaning of the song n imagined on their own tat they were being praised in the song n went around saying tat in the press too... n because of all the confusion it caused, tagore decided to clear it himself by telling clearly tat the words don't mean tat at all..

i saw someone saying that tagore ji wrote this for the british raj:- plz just dont believe in stupid controversies created by some class of people to give a political colour!!! the words bhagya vidhata means "GOD" nobody else, and this was told by tagore himself that he meant it "god" and bharat bhagya vidhata cannot be any george 4 or 5...plz ppl first read the original writings then comment...there is no other song that can suit the status of our nation anthem!!!
