you're really quite good and above the standard needed for grade 8, however there are some problems with tuning and the use of some open e strings which stick out like saw thumbs in wat otherwise is a really good performance, and i would most likely expect you to get a distinction at least in this piece.

The performance is not a student, he is a violinist. This is a demonstration for people who want to take grade 8 exam. Also, you may not know, in baroque period music like this one by Vivaldi, open strings are always be used.

ive just done grade 7 violin and have to choose my grade 8 pieces, after hearing this, the vivaldi is definitely one of them!!
