Josh has shown that he has the maturity level to be a captain and run the boat. Jake has shown that he loves drugs more than his family. I want them to be happy and prosperous but neither of them can handle it as of yet. Derrick may not have been a great choice but even an experienced captain can't find the crab 50% of the time.
They are not rookies at running that boat. I am sure there are regulations and things they must know before they can be a captain. The Coast Guard would test them on that. What Capt. Derrick needs to be teaching them is the ins and outs of finding crab which he has not done a very good job of yet.
I don't understand why Captain Derrick is not doing more to show at least Josh some of what he thinks Cpt. Phil did not show him. He acts like he thinks Josh cannot learn it. It was a bad decision hiring that captain. I hope by now they have replaced him. I want to try that job but captains like that are worse than the work itself.

@craftchest How was that a bad decision on hiring him as Captain? wasnt he hired to catch fish (crabs) and to be captain not continue to explain himself to josh and jake! I saw Josh and Jake attitude change in this season! to the point of expecting to be told what why and how this capt was doing his job. These guys seemed have a huge chip on their shoulders and alot of ppl forget that they only have 20-25% in the boat the other 70-75% is by a 3rd party.

Different captains have different ways,which MUST be obeyed out at sea even if your Daddy does own the company.

it's sad but true the boys are taking it out on the cap because they dont like seeing someone else run the boat a different way but then again their dad should have made me grow up and learn to take over the boat before he passed away he knew that he was not in good shape anyways. Plus they are both old enough to been driving that boat.

@leave13 Yea it sickens me that phil couldnt be the one to finally turn the boat over to them i only wish he could have ahd a little longer. R.I.P Good Captain Phil
