the polynesian equivalent for hangi is 'umu' ! ... and also i think that volcanic rock is the best stone to use, but thats just my opinion.

and it is faster may be you should look out side of the box when i use the drum i dont do a lot of mucking around like you do
i have been doing hangi since i was 12 years of age i have made hangs under the ground above the ground in drums
i have used wood and diesel
as long as it taste the bloody same when you pull it out
