  • Law & Order UK is the biggest bullsh** I´ve ever watched !

Oh, of course - it´s NOT created by Dick Wolf - so it´s ment to be sh**....

  • I'm from the USA and this is the first real 'legal' show i've really watched and I'm impressed. mom got me started on it. their legal system is so much cooler (of course we have death penalty which comes in handy on rare occasion).

  • um I will take the original and Jack McCoy any day sorry but the UK version is good.

  • hmmm, i rather the usa's one :P

why judges and lawers dress like that in england xD they look o.O

  • Sounds more like the tale of a brave knight or lol.

  • Go Freema

  • it sounds like the JAG theme

  • I hope they use this intro for the next season of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, should they do another season!!!!!!!!

  • Freema Agyeman from Doctor Who :)

  • Also I think its funny how when the UK remakes an american thing its ok but when the opposite happens all hell breaks loose...buch of fucking hypocrites lol

  • @pops4u95 That's been going on since the 70's when we (Americans) had "Sanford and Son" and "All in the Family" What do those have in common ? They all came from British shows. I can name a few like "Life on Mars," which our (American) version did not last long and "Coupling" which had the same fate.

  • @pops4u95 Well perhaps the reason why that is might be because we "British ppl" have good TV. :)

  • @StitchV2 or maybe because British people obsess over what Americans watch, and Americans don't

  • @mrfwest Nah, it's good TV :)

  • @pops4u95 That's because of how the remake process works. When an American show is remade in Britain, the program is kept as close as possible to the original to not scare of existing watchers, and welcome in new audience.

However, a large number of times when a British show is remade by the Americans, the production looks to improve parts of a program that doesn't need improvement to a point where it either spoils the gimmick or just makes it unwatchable. It's a simple matter of production.

  • @gifted1994 unwatchable to who? brittish people? well your not suppose to be watching the show anyway

  • Also I love when British ppl copy american shit everyone acts like its the best thing since sliced bread and that its ok but when americans copy UK shit we are like the devils sent from hell. It's funny how hypocritical some ppl are and how nationlism gets in the way of common sense sometimes. It goes both ways though -______-

  • Also I like the opening but nothing tops the original Law and Order. At least Law and Order UK is better than that shit fest L&O LA

  • i bet law and order canada is similar to this if they ever make one that is.

  • UK > US

  • You're such a fucking anglophile lmao the UK is not better than the US and the US is not better than the UK both countries have their faults and their benefits -_____-

  • :( I live in the US, and I don't have BBC America . . .now I have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

  • @localfive0 As you can see on the top right hand corner, this is an ITV series, which is to BBC like ABC is to CBS here in the States. It will never be shown on BBC America. Now, maybe PBS might come along and buy it, but I highly doubt it...

  • @newschannel Hmmm . . .that's odd. According to Wikipedia, in Sept. of 2010, BBC America announced that it would begin broadcasting L&O UK starting in Oct. of that same year. But then again, we are talking about television; things change quickly and sometimes without notice until the last second.

  • @newschannel BBC America airs Law & Order UK. I have BBC America it airs here Fridays @ 10 PM They are however remakes of the first season of the U.S. version.

  • I know why this didn't work: You've got a guy in a wig in the opening credits

  • this is way too dramatic/heroic/american-patriotic....in other words, not a uk show about the justice system

  • Love the song. WHAT does bullocks MEAN?!!!!!!

  • @SumSuntimelvr Aparently its a flexable term that can mean one of the following:

    1. something rubbish

    2. a falsehood or series of lies

    3. something great

    4. the best possible

    5. testicles

    6. exclamation on making a error.

  • I've known Freema Agyeman from watching Doctor Who?!! Cool!!

  • i love the song very good!!!!

  • OMG Freema Agyeman is in this??? (AKA Miss Martha Jones from Doctor Who, to me) I had no idea! I recently found out there WAS a L&O:UK but I had no idea it has been running as long as it has. I've always been a tiny bit of an Anglophile and I'm really getting into some of the TV shows within the past couple years.

The theme is ok but it definitely wouldn't make sense to use the American one of course. I do like the tip of the hat to the original at the end there with them walking together.

  • Eurghh Thats Shit, It Puts Our Brittish Name To Shame, USA All The Way ;) x x

  • ok you guys give us shit when we pay homage to great british television... but when you guys do it, you say its better??? It probably is good, but i have noticed there arent any comments from americans saying how this version sucks in comparison.... Who are the arrogant ones now?

  • I hear that.

  • I don't understand why everyone has to make such a big deal out of the theme. It's just a good fucking show, plain and simple. If you don't like the theme then take your bitching elsewhere.

  • personally,I like this intro better than the US one And i watch the show.

  • Not representative of British at all..I am disappointed. I thought you guys were always able to do things better than the Americans...tsk tsk tsk..shame shame shame

  • @CamiloSanchez1979 well then your a prick you rasist bastard

  • @CamiloSanchez1979: wtf its a show based on the american show. They've already shown British potential. This is way better than those yanks version. How much more British could you get?

  • American version is better. How does it feel now, Brits?

  • @ilikecats74 : shove it up your arse yank. If it isn't BBC its not good, last time i checked law and order american version wasn't on it; the american version is rubbish and i say bullocks to it.

  • Awesome job of u Brits doing your version of Law and Order which I see on Citytv in Canada. You guys must use the original opening for this or will fail.

  • @digitalman28 : the intro is way better then the yank version. I say its a proper good job mate.

  • I just saw a commercial for this and thought it was a Joke hahahahahah wow.

  • Omg. This is awful! I don't care if it's the UK, U.S. or U.A.E...you use the ORIGINAL INTRO or some form of it. Oh my god. Flop...

  • I am still at "warming up" process as a huge Law&Order fan but the cast is a winner.

  • I like this version of L&O much more than the U.S. versions. It's a great show. And Freema is as mesmerizing as ever.

  • Freeman may be a crown prosecutor now, but I'll never forget her as a "doctor'.

  • @ConstantineChernabog I just hope she doesn't have to wear that wig when she become a Senior Crown Prosecutor.

  • The British version is really wonderful and that cast is 'to die for'.

  • I'd watch it just because of Jamie.

  • Does Law & Order UK at least have the *dunn dunn* location sound?

  • @taito2k1

Yes it does, though they use it much less than the US one

  • @taito2k1 Yes, it does. You should try watching it. It's a damn good show.

  • Best theme song ever! :D

  • Wasn't Ben Daniels on EastEnders at one time?

  • i so want Hugh Laurie to come in this Law and Order!!!!!

  • cool show just seen and now iam fan

  • LEE ADAMA!

  • Not even the clasic L&O sing, you guys got riped

  • <3 lee adama and martha jones! squee! the US theme is amazingtastical and its a shame that they didn't use it

  • This theme is crap. However, the Yank themes are NOT the holy grail of L&O themes... the Channel Five versions of the SVU and CI themes are 100000 times better than thier American counterparts, and should have been used for the UK series.

  • the opening just sounds stuffy - like you're gonna be stuck in a British courtroom for an hour with a barrister and a dude in a powdered wig. Jazz it up and make the law cool - American style.

  • I do really like the music here, but I would've preferred if they had their own version of the normal Law and Order theme like the other spin-offs. The theme and the chung noise are part of the whole Law and Order experience.

  • @nygiantsfan6 The UK Version of the SVU theme would have been perfect. I can't stand that annoying Jazz crap on the American one.

  • FAIL

  • I like the opening. Personally I think the origial music is overused. Glad to see that the opening is a bit different.

  • Jamie Bamber is so fraking hot!

  • @AlannahClaire what do you think about harriet walter XD

  • this opening should be like the american version...

  • Is it true that all British men have sex with another man at least once?

  • @vontrappster Fuck you

  • Awesome UK Main theme...

  • Why they put so awful music theme?

  • #FAIL

  • #FAIL

  • bad musica, american is the best

  • @CodigosOrkut16

Even w / Jamie Bamber & Freema Agyeman ( " Martha Jones " from Doctor Who ), w / that intro, I am NOT impressed. Plus, where IS the British Union Jack waving in the background ? As @Finickis says our U.S. version has the stars & stripes.

  • @knoxvilleguy2

Maybe because not everyone in the world has a pressing need to show off as americans do. Loving ones flag, ok. But you guys just overdo it. Stop it.

Great theme. And this series comes to show that when a british series is americanized=FAIL. The first series to go the other way around is actually good. In fact, despite the one fault series in UK suffer from (seasons are too short), this might actually turn out to be better than the original.

  • @lgcotovio - OK, you have a definite point British series that have been Americanized, even there have been some successes ( " All in the Family ", for one ). Americans see a good Brit program, we try to copy it, it flies like a dirigible made of lead !! ( I have no opinion about the British or American version of " The Office " ) & I have to confess that I haven't actually WATCHED " Law & Order : UK ".

  • @knoxvilleguy2

As for The Office i don't like either. Britcoms are usualy funny but after seing just a few episodes of the UK version... i don't think i had an honnest laugh. And though i loved some of mr. Carrel's work (mainly in The Daily Show) i don't really see the point. Maybe the humour is too high brow for me. Law & Order (original) suffers from 2 things, its another lawyering series from the 90's and it lasted too damned long.

  • @lgcotovio - I can take or leave either version of " The Office " truthfully. I'm a sometime contributor on a website started by Rainn Wilson, " Dwight Schrute " of the U.S. version, & I admitted that I seldom viewed it. Nobody lynched me !!

Someone else admitted to having a " geek moment " because Frema Agyema ( Doctor Who ) & Jamie Bamber ( Lee " Apollo " Adama from BSG ) were on Law & Order: UK.

  • @knoxvilleguy2

Yeah, it's successful, it has a lot of spin offs but come on. It just becomes to hard to keep focused with the same series with so much new stuff out there. As for this UK version, first british series, production wise function in a totally different basis and that shows. This is not a spin off like the other L&O series but a remake of what mr. Chibnal believed were the best episodes from the original just remade for present day UK. And it works. Plus Agyeman+Bamber=nice.

  • @lgcotovio - Sometimes a franchise can get spread a little TOO THIN. I've heard that there's a French version of L & O. Next there'll be a Russian one, then maybe one set in Tokyo. Never said it was a spin - off as such.

See above comment re.: Agyeman & Bamber. They make a nice couple !!

  • Where's the DONK DONK?

  • why are half the castmembers shouting during their introductions? does ITV think Britons (Britons, right?) can't tell it's a serious show or something?

  • I'd have loved to see a waving Union Jack as there's the star spangled one in the original version. Ah well :(

  • I would like to see mor UK version. soon.

  • It looks to me like they have the winning combination of characters that the American version was once beloved for: In "Law", one experienced detective, one younger detective, and one chief who keeps the two from coming to blows. Same with "Order." Sounds promising. Like the regal theme and intro effects, too. I'm very curious...

  • I honestly didn't like the UK version. Ive been following the US show for a while now and comparing it too this it just kinda shows that something is missing from the UK version. I just can't put my finger on it...

  • Notice that their phones in the UK are blocker than our phones here in the US?

I mean look at 0:15 and you'll see what I mean!

  • Which one is more graphic, I really want to know so I can watch the one that is more graphic!

  • does anyone know whats the name of the intro is??

  • Kanyecc, Keep up the video uploads.

  • A brilliant start to a wonderful British cop show.law and order uk is a spellbinding show from the police to the verdict of the jury.

  • i wonder why they didn't show their flag...

  • Anonmyous5536@ It is probably because, the UK doesn't want to have issues with Politically Correctness because, there are more countries than the U.S. and UK there are a lot of countries.

I am surprised that the American Law & Order still has their American Flag and such as the World Flag or the Universal Symbol to be Politically Correct, such it moving really fast, and the World Flag is the UN and is also known as; United Nations.

  • @TheOpenminded12460 the reason why the American version shows their flag is because it's American justice. Where our flag is part of it. "Justice" is mention in our Pledge of Elegance so i guess it's pretty important. However, every other L&W in the world doesn't show a UN flag or whatever. i just think it's an important part of a countries justice system.

  • @anonymous5536 Because they aren't obsessed with putting it on everything like the US is. :P

  • WTF?! Jamie play in Law&Order a detective?! Sorry for all fans, but... ICFW

  • Characters' lips shouldn't move in opening sequences...

  • @Zythe That's because they are computer generated more than likely or are puppets made to look like humans.

  • I uploaded the intro to this show three days ago with the Crime & Punishment theme added to it replacing this one here, and it actually fits the show better to me. You guys can go to my video uploads if you want to see it.

  • Great intro

  • Comment removed

  • I can see why they didn't use the original opening. The US opening is very jazzy and american. The music and theme is just very NYC. It doesn't fit w/the UK at all.

  • @pops4u95 shut the f##k up u act as if you've lived in the U.K. probablay didn't how the hell do u know what fit's with the U.K. cause last time I checked they listen to our music they have to come here to the U.S, to make it big i.e Beatles, Estelle, Leonna Lewis, Amy Winehouse, Rhianna yes Barbados is a territory of the U.K. there is no such thing as the U.K. having there own style at leat I've never heard it Hell Law and Order is even ours the U.K. borrowed it.

  • @pops4u95 yeah right I don't get that

  • @pops4u95 i like this theme a lot better..i wonder if it's available on iTunes.

  • @pops4u95 The theme is very diffrent between US & UK. Uk means business where as in NY it's more fun & jazzy.

  • Comment removed

  • @pops4u95: bullocks to that, it wouldn't be law and order UK with an american intro; that would be rubbish. Besides this ones way better.

  • Comment removed

  • @pops4u95 Although I resent the "american" bit of your remarks, I can see why this song fits in with the series. It's so...energetic...so........How should I put it?.......majestic towards every plot in every episode. It's also kind of......towards the point. A kind of king-and-country sounding theme, rather than a kind of jazz, lazy jazz if you ask me. Am I going overboard with this?

  • @MIDIacefro I don't think it's lazy jazz at all just think the original opening exemplfies NYC and that this exemplifies the UK. I don't think the original version is lazy jazz at all. And you're not going overboard but from your comments im sensng you have some weird issues America as a whole lol so it's cool I got ya

  • @pops4u95

Agreed. This song has the opulence and majesty that UK invokes.

  • Just started watching the second season. I have a feeling that I know the theme from some other show! Anyone a guess?

  • Bye the way: just loving it!

  • SVU is the best!! <3

  • UK is brilliant - its the only L&O i ever watch!

    Walsh and Daniels are classic!

  • i believe that SVU has the best intro :)

  • love Freema <3

  • Martha Jones!

  • funny how nobody complains about a uk remake of a american show.

(For the record, I NEVER complain for remakes. I think that if people want to make it again, it's because it was good the first time. Why not try a different version of something amazing--- for example, The Office)

  • the uk version of the office with ricky gervaise is better than the american one

  • they should have used the same tunes of the american version but just changed it up a bit. this theme kinda throws it off. it sounds more like a saturday morning cartoon theme

  • They could have used the theme song from Crime & Punishment for this show. That had a Law & Order remix to it.

  • yeah ive actually never saw crime an punishment.. i think they need a new law and order but not in NYC and DEF not in LA cuz too many shows are in new YORK and LA. they needs show thats in a city like philly. or DALLAS or just some city ... idk just diffrent. oh do u know where i can hear the Crime and punishment theme?

  • I'll post it on your profile since I can't seem to post it the link here.

  • @XxShebleepxX The Wire was in Baltimore.

  • I like the intro. Its good to have both Bamber and Agyeman on board.

  • Amazing intro! My favorite L&O series ever! Then again, with Jamie Bamber and Freema Agyeman, how could I refuse!!

So glad to hear that it'll be back for a second series in 2010!!!!

  • Law and Order SVU Law and Order Law and Order CI are the best!!!

  • I agree with you, leon102!

I think that the song that's used for L&O: Criminal Intent is much better.

But I do like the show! It's different than the other Law & Orders.

  • Good intro, but I think the song in the US edition is better and more catchy.

  • BLOODY 'ELL SOMEONE WAS MURDERED!

they got the music wrong and its funny they where the wigs

  • Bradley Walsh reminds me of my criminal justice professor.

  • It's a good show... my favourite L&O. But every time I hear the intro, I expect it to turn into Jerusalem - that's probably on purpose.

  • I only have one real caveat about the intro music. It sounds like it came from the same vein as another Law and Order type show: JAG. Not too fond of it at the moment.

  • I actually thought this was a fan made entry, but after seeing the four striding down the hall... I was instantly into Wikipedia. I think it's brilliant that we've finally invaded Britain. ^_^ Britain gave us Doctor Who and a lot of music, so giving back some decent cop shows seems only fair.

    Now SHARE!

  • True that mate. Im also glad to see a U.S Show capture a British scenery! I have watched the first couple of episodes and it is pretty good aswell :) Hopefully they will do the rest of law order justice.

  • Nice intro

  • Image how good this would be if it had Hugh Laurie as well as Jamie Bamber.

  • Hugh Laurie as the pill-popping ME (or whatever medical examiners are called in England)? Perfect!

  • if we're thinking about the same thing, you mean a coroner?

  • Comment removed

  • I mean whoever performs autopsies. I think coroner in the UK may mean something different than coroner in the US.

  • Yea, I think thats the coroner (not 100% sure)

  • I would die right here right now.

  • @calzoid71 I think Laurie's talents would go to waste on a procedural show like this.

  • @calzoid71 That would be a interesting combo!

  • @calzoid71 you are a genius

  • Regular version's better.

  • I love this theme :)

  • i LOVE this theme its amazing!

  • Sounds epic, makes me wonder why everyone else says it sucks.

  • Today is the first time I am watching the British Edition of Law and Order, interesting and different. I was not even aware that this UK edition even existed. Guess I'm going to have to play 'catch-up' with the previous episodes. Hmm...I wonder how many I missed. Hopefully, they're posted here on youtube.

  • Another thing...In the court room, do the judges and lawyers really have to wear those dumb looking wigs up on top of their heads? If so...maybe the UK should reassess their dress codes! It must hinder some legal professionals who wear a traditional religious head dress.

  • who gives a fuck if the muslims have to take off the towels that they wrap around their heads?

in britain the judges do wear those fucking stupid wigs, i guess it could be described as etiquette, but being from canada people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones. the whole world has a good laugh at mounties and the dress sense of those queer french canadians.

get back to your ice hockey ya fat wanker.

  • coach trust me its a rip off cops in uk are nothing like this . crimes that are taking place in the street in uk which would not be tolorated elsewhere are ignored by cops here and the lawyers are much more boring and anal too and stuck up and insecurely smug

  • Well, maybe this will encourage em. Or not/

  • its hard to even see regular cops on the streets and they make arrests the mountains of paper work . then the crown prosecution service dropping cases before court to save money , pls . law and order uk aside thinner line between cops and criminals here . i know in us canada australia they are tougher on the perps

  • the bill is partially more realistic accept it shows uk cops who are more diligent and care . At least it does not try innapropriate copying of something cool ,and the characters are more like actual uk cops in accent and lifestyle not more like aristocracy or Management consultants and oxford educated scholars

  • lmao this theme is fucking horrible. The US styles for the original series gets you pumped & ready, it's dark & gritty...this one makes it feel so different that it doesnt even feel like it's apart of the same show. this is all happy go luckyand cheesey, the fan-made version imposing the original series' style on the uk opening sequence fits much better. This one looks like it's TRYING to be sensationalistic...like it's some hollywood soap opera, in the US the show is far removed from hollywood

  • U r so right!

  • hahaha genius. 'gets you pumped & ready' i have to agree with all the comments you made.

Law & Order UKs theme show is a total sell out. Im gonna write a letter to Dick Wolf about it. They should have just incorporated the original melody and added a few synths or something to give it a new twist like they did with SVU or CI.

I have only seen 1 episode of the UK one but it cant compare with the US one. Detective Robert Goren would wipe the floor with these wankers.

  • this show is as realistic as tom and jerry . should see the real criminal justice system in uk

  • If we did a proper depiction of the UK criminal justice system, the murderers would all be set free because it's against their human rights to imprison them and they like prison if they do go because of the 50" HDTV in their cell.

Bradley Walsh and Jeremy Bamber would be too busy at the nick filling out reports of unpaid parking tickets instead of catching murdering scum.

Finally, everyone committing the crimes on the show would be average age 11 years old and be carrying six knives at a time.

  • so we`r on the same type of page . wish they stick to the bill , bit more realistic , aren`t the crooks in this show like uk master criminal lex luther types . maybe a bit exagerated but almost as realistic as this depiction of uk criminal justice system lol

  • At least in England if someone's convicted of murder, they always go to jail for life. In America, if someone's charged with something like 2nd degree murder, they can get paroled. Why the English don't give possible life sentences for someone who's done a crime several times is beyond me.

  • coach , there is a lesser sentence of homicide like dangerous act manslaughter that perps can use , provocation and diminished responsibility can be used with those with ASPD . Life for many years in uk rarely means life . most crimes dont even get processed to the portrayed dynamic middle class types in the show . 96% of crimes handled by magistrates handing non custodial sentences and 4% in crown court where high levels of equitals

  • I like this theme a lot.

  • what a crummy theme song, I would have liked a spinoff of the American theme tune, seeing as the whole show is a spinoff itself. The only reason I am so interested is cause of the british law system being present, which i am not used to due to the American crime dramas that flood the Australian television networks.
