  • what the fuck video

  • domo arigato mister roboto!

  • I have VFR 400 R 1988.It's my first byke,and can't be shure,but I have a feel to honda vfr can't go low into the corners.

  • HONDA ftw! Thumbs up if they should make that optional semi automatic/automatic gear changing possible for the Cbr1000rr!!

  • @muaythai193 What for? It is cbr1000rr but with comfort seats and semi-automatic.

  • @lin545 Did you ride both and compared?

    I did...not comparable imo!

The Fireblade has way better handling for once, the seating position is completely different, the gear ratio is different, the torque and power diagramm is aswell, and so on...

But I changed my mind since I like changing gears manually!

    (I drive a 2011 ZX-10R right now, really nice! ^^)

    Take care!

  • Great bike but damn, it`s ugly!

Honda seem to be employing blind people to do the styling of their bikes lately.Kawasakis on the other hand seem to be getting better looking.

  • This is such an advanced motorcycle....AWESOME!!! and Honda VFR quality!!!

  • Looks like fucking BMW! hOnDa really fucked it up! Bring back the cool looking VFRs! Going to buy a Concours, fuck hOnDa for this fuck up looking shit!

  • @21Barbwire calm down

  • Looks like fucking BMW! hOnDa really fucked it up! Bring back the cool looking VFRs!

  • woulnt that dual-clutch box tend to lock up the wheels sometimes like in supercars

  • Sick Helm!

  • Sick Helm!

  • i got one from this year and the LOVE for ME is EVER GROWING with this BIKE , it rides better every day , I LOVE MY VFR 2010!!!!, she gets more beautifull every day , the design will be fantastic even in 5 years !!!

and on top of the PIE i got myself an Exhaust from DAM RACING BELGIUM

FUCKIN UNREAL FAT V4 DEEPNESS GRRRRRRAAAAAAUUUWWLL

fuck this , this is it for me

chzck it out damexhaustdotcom what a design !!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing what Big Red can do with those V4 engines. The thing is 1200cc, and it doesn't look any wider than my 6th gen VFR 800. Not a fan of the face of this thing, but I'm one of few that liked the mug of the Buell 1125r, so I have no room to talk.

  • @macross189 Its actually narrower in the seat and back part of the tank than the 800! Pretty sweet bike!

  • Amazing what Big Red can do with those V4 engines. The thing is 1200cc, and it doesn't look any wider than my 6th gen VFR 800. Not a fan of the face of this thing, but I'm one of few that liked the mug of the Buell 1125r, so I have no room to talk.

  • Amazing what Big Red can do with those amazing V4 motors. The thing is 1200cc and yet doesn't look any wider than my 6th gen VFR 800 parked outside. Not to big a fan of the body, but then again I like the look of the Buell 1125r, so I have no room to talk.

  • Don't mock it till you tried it. I test one and came back with a big smile. And now I own one. And yes I have had them all r1 fireblade. Hayabusa black bird. This new bike from Honda is truly stunning and the quality of finish is the best I have ever seen.

  • I hope that guy got to give that a good rip and see what it can really do!

  • massive loser for honda imo. i've previously been a fan of honda v-fours & owned a 1986 vfr750fg ... but this bike is UGLY, HEAVY & UNDER-POWERED. 83kw (measured) & 297kg... sadface.

  • I prefer mi CBR400

  • Buena pero el encarenado deberia parecerce a una MotoGP, prefiero una CBR

  • the only GOOD thing on that bike is: it´s NOT mine!

  • Would have been nice to hear the engine working a bit harder, and see someone lean it over properly. I bet it sounds fantastic near the redline

  • @popsracer18 this vfr has a twin engine-look it up!

  • @carlosandleon Errrr......

  • I owned the 96 750 VFR and 99 VFr 800 cc they could carve up the canyon roads in California still a light bike then . Now this new oversize bike, more of a touring

fatter pig of the original VFR idea - no flickable canyon carver

  • that thing got smacked hard with a big ugly stick!!!!!

  • The auto is still unproven for me.... i just cant believe in it.... maybe im old fashoned but it just seems less fun.... like a jumbo scooter or something...

  • the 1984 modles are the best my opinion

  • bon tu la pousse pa ta VFR c nul =='

  • A beautiful piece of engineering. I bet that this bike would last any owner a lifetime, no matter how many km's you put on it. Shame about the price tag, though.

  • i like the soumd. 4-cylinder engine sound's looks every pretty.

  • What a prick, give him back his Vespa 50.

  • the front end look really odd kinda like BMW VFR alway look sporty back in my day i would rather have the older one look better !!!!

  • Yawn. Show what that bike can really do!

  • Just FYI...

despite what this video shows, this bike WILL go over 30MPH.

  • nice machine, hope to see it soon on the road

  • Jerky throttle response? Does this have dual-clutch trasnsmission? Maybe that would be a bit hype for a bike... Would be nice to hear how it goes through gears...

But, anyhow, this is a good video in which the engine sound is existing too - the other video that I tried to watch for some seconds was about some old buddies standing and smiling on a parking lot and just music...

  • I think this is a pretty good video. Gives a good look at the bike and you get to hear a bit of what it sounds like with the roll ons from behind the car and with it driving around. AND the wind noise has been well taken care of which has been a major problem before.

  • no music, just pure sound : excellent !

    thx

  • I had the '04 800 VFR, I wish they would have just made that into a 6 speed transmission, and shaft drive. Then it would have been the perfect bike. Had to sell so I could get a cruiser and ride with my wife. I like my VTX, but I miss my VFR.

  • sounds like a scooter. have VFR 800 v-tec and they have gone back 30 years in design!

  • @searay230 gone back 30 years in design with the new vfr? i think you need to do some reading.

  • Just when you thought the new cbr1000rr was as ugly as honda could make a bike, they once again prove me wrong! I don't care how fast it goes

  • can't believe they let euro peeps fuck it up so bad

  • A K I R A .....is back .....

  • I like the riders helmet. Takes my attention off the front end styling.

  • christ! ugly, bland, souless, tech overkill - probably does everything very well [yawn] ....makes me appreciate my gen 1 fazer 1000 all the more

  • Well if you car drivin twats would like it tested by someone who actually rides a motorcycle let me know!

  • Sound is OK. With special exhaust shoud be cool.

  • yeah sounds like a scooter. My '98 vfr with the 2bros exhaust & efi sounded way better. Not crazy about the front (headlights) either. and the slab-sides look like a bmwk1200. yuk.

Too bad they don't just bring back the 'Bird (CBR-1100XX) with some *minor* restyling. Best bike they ever made..

  • What is this? this is a motorcycle?? i can't beleive it! Now VFR means Scooter !!! Blah!!!

  • Very disappointing ! The drab color, the ugly front , no underseat exhausts, the huge right side cover. It leaves a lot to be desired.

It could "grow" on us but so can warts!

  • Honda's moving away from underseat exhausts for a lower center of gravity. It was one of the big things about the new CBR1000

  • You are right, a 2003 SV1000s is so much cooler than this bike; some day when I am grown up and successful, maybe I to can be cool enough to own a 2003 SV1000s... Isn't the 2003 SV1000s the greatest motorcycle ever? I believe it has been noted as such in many magazines.

You my friend, are a loser.

  • Erm SV1000s isn't really the best at anything sadly. Gotta be a V4 I'm afraid

  • beautiful sound!; beautiful bike! :)

  • I like my 2003 SV1000s with full fairing for sport touring,,,,,,and mine cost about $10,000 less on the used market! :)

  • his helmet doesn't match the bike--yuck! :)

  • I like that sound.

  • with gear driven cams this bike would be perfect

  • I LOVE the look. I'm a pretty solid pure-supersport guy, but this WILL be my next motorcycle. They got this right.

  • it looks a bit bland and unintresting to me ,good spec though

  • I am not a fan of the front end, but after reading about all the specs I must say this would make a wicked sport tourer. To be honest I don't think it's much more wacky looking than a BMW.

  • So glad they have updated the VFR. Even with the 2010 noise compliant exhaust, the Honda V-Four makes sweet music compared to other MC 4 cylinders. Can't wait for some aftermarket exhausts.

  • beautiful bike !!!!!!

    BELLISSIMA MOTOOOOO!!

  • All that technology wrapped in 80's japanese cartoon style.

  • I DON'T like the headlights on that thing

  • Buy a GoPro HD please. It has a mic jack and is only $300

  • mcn does cool stuff w/crappy quality vids - sound is usually the worst but i like their staff; wish they would have better w/all the resources they are afforded.

  • Sounds beautiful, looks as beautiful! Get it to the stores so we can get our hands on it.

  • looks kinda like a buell 1125cr if you ask me..

  • A Buell? HaHaHa.

  • I think it will look a lot better in black&white, keeping the same silver trimming.

  • Typical Honda ,you bye a Honda with your head not your heart . bland

  • I like this bike, just my opinion^^

  • 1200cc bike? I personally don't like how it looks, but it sounds beastly.

  • With proper touring gear mounted to the rear of that bike it looks to be a great competitor for the likes of the FJR1300, R1200RT, K1300, GL1800, etc.

The styling isn't half as bad as the concept bike looked, the sound is intoxicating as the V fours always were, and overall looks like it would respond VERY well to slight modification for more roll on power and a small dash of touring gear and you have a bonified Alaska and back tourer!

I like it! It's new and fresh, very interesting!

  • Come ooon. Redline that fucker atleast once... pretty please?

  • Haha... don't be a racist... Design ur own bike..

  • This video is horrible. You would think that they would at least wind the thing out a little...I want to hear that V4 sing...they kept cutting away and short-shifting. Leave it to the knuckleheads at MCN. Very boring video!

  • they just care about machines u dotn take new bike and rev shit out of it coz u gonna sieze it. well u tried to show off but if u dotn kno the job keep quiet

  • u are right...if we were living abouth ten years ago... these days a motorcycle doesn't leave the factory any more before being tested so thouroughly that you are/(should be) abled to rev it to the max the first ride you take it out. as long as you make sure the engine is hot enough. ;)

  • LOL I tried to show off? LOL

Ya know that there is different trains of thought when it comes to breaking in a bike. What is the point of watching a video of a sport-touring bike that never gets revved over 5000rpms? They might as well just took pics of the bike standing still. What is the point of the video? atch this bike accelerate from 25-35 mph? LOL

  • have you seen them test a new engine ever?????they give it loads of stick

  • LOL. I know plenty. I know MCN sucks donkeys. I know that there are different methods to breaking in a motorcycle. I also know that if you are trying to post a public video showing the capabilities of a new motorcycle, you might want to actually ride the damn thing.

  • jeez - I got a kawasaki zx10 and a honda VFR 800, I was expecying me next choice to be a hard one: Choose between a GTR1400 and the VFR1200, but if I got to put down my hardearned £12,000 on one, its going to be the GTR. I'm keeping anopen minf, maybe honda just make shyte promotional movies ;)

  • my last vision of vfr is the 400... but this?! where the hell is the design made from???!!

  • front looks like it came from a GL1500 Goldwing.

  • Looks like a BMW and sounds like a boxer ...

  • i like it but not headlight

  • OMG that's the most beautiful motorcycle i have ever seen!! And im not kidding!!!!!

  • hm i don't mind it. I think people will warm up to it as well. I do hope there's a V4 sport model coming in the next two years though.~that is if the economy shapes up of course.Speaking of which, i hope all you guys are supporting your local dealers, and not just buying your kit strictly online. I know that my local Kawasaki shop is very grateful and generous to me for my continued patronage. cheers!.

  • I'm a pretty opened-minded person when it comes to avant garde designs, but this bike is UGLY.

    This is strictly my opinion.

And this time, you can't blame Honda because I think they hired a Spaniard to design this bike.

    So much for that.

  • I agree, the designers race had everything to do with the bikes ugliness. LOL

  • C'mon man, that's not what I meant.

I'm saying, Europeans are usually superior in designing than Japanese.

But this time the ugliness of the bike comes from a European designer which is surprising.

  • well....id have to say there is a better way of getting those shots you want. you'd better fire the camera man who shot this one. lol

  • alan4391 - says you with a cg125 !!!!

  • what a useless video

  • K13 is nice but heavy. Have you tried an R1200RT? Not super powerful but a lot lighter than it looks and quite good fun. What about a K13S?

  • looks amazing, love it =]

  • ZZZZZ. bet the engine is nice but the bike looks like a joke. I like Honda but what crowd are you going for in that? the 800's were nice but this is ugly.

  • Cant wait to hear an aftermarket exhaust on this thing!

  • I know, idle sound is a joke.

  • It looks like a Beemer

  • Any idea which model of Arai helmet is that? Design looks kind of nice.. :P

  • It's a custom paint job I'm afraid!

  • bike is beautiful...trust me..until you get to that horrid looking face and silly looking silencers...the rest is very very nice

  • I like the look of the new VFR... I don't know what everyone is complaining about...

  • @BritishRider

absolutely. this thing looks great to me.

I'm no fan of the automatic clutch, but as far as the looks of the bike, I think it looks awesome. It's got a very "high-end" look about it... it looks very "exclusive", too bad the price point goes along with this too.

I love the white version of this bike too.

But then again, my bike is the white aluminum BMW K1200R, which is sometimes called the ugliest bike ever made. I love it.

  • that bike is seriously ugly. and is a let down =/

    doesnt sound to bad though

  • It's not a road brawler just a refined sport tourer.

  • sound is awesome!!

  • its not the prettiest bike you'll ever see but it has really nice sound

  • Yea, I agree, the whole bike looks "normal", but when u look from the front, it is disappointment for me.

But after all, I am sure it finds its own fans.

  • It'll probably grow on us.. but I have no doubts it's one of the best new bikes out there at the moment.

  • I think whoever designed the front of the bike had been watching to much battle star gallactica....
