Anyway, I think his muscles aren't well defined. The lines are too soft for me to see his Hercules-esque arms. He's a fictional character, and a hero no less. You can get away with over-defining him a little.

I also think his neck is also a bit too long. It looks like he was stretched out. It doesn't support his image as a hero or an icon like himself. It looks almost silly. Obviously, this doesn't suit the character whatsoever.

Criticism regardless, great work.

Those aren't trace marks. Those are guide lines that I make before I record. It saves me more time. Read my comment below. I don't want to keep repeating over and over again.

@vegeta196 Anyone can see the marks, even the person who drew this. If he did trace it, do you think he would post it on the web? People would make fun of him. He did not trace it, I believe it when they said that those are guide lines. I would do the same thing. I don't though, I try my best to try from scratch. But everyone has different ways to draw. That's why it's art, a different way to express yourself.

@theanimegirl10 I use guidlines all the time, even when I draw from scratch. It helps IMMENSELY for character and creature designs, and it makes vechile, weapon and environments 100000000 + over 9000 times easier ^.^ Only when i sketch in my lil sketchbooks is when i go from scratch.

Actually, I make my guidelines before I start recording and then start darkening lines, because it takes me 2+ hours straight to make one drawing, on top of continually taking my memory card and dragging and dropping each video file into my laptop (because I have a small-memory sd card).

Drawing is a long process for me. I'm only trying to use different techniques to save me as much time as possible.

Makong Shades is about using your finger or tissue paper you make it dark then rub it

an advise mate

draw some more lines on the neck, since every other aspect of him was muscular his neck was just plain. If you'd do that it'd be a great drawing. But keep it up, you can only become better!

nobody has lines on there body. its only the light projecting shadow. you don't want any "lines" just contrast from different tones. otherwise it will look like a cartoon. the neck's fine

try looking at the real picture or something. the rest of the drawing is great I couldn't have done it any better, but the neck doesn't fit in.

Agreed, a good drawing and you can definitely tell who it is, but to capture realism there needs to be shading to back up any lines, there really are no solid hard lines in the human figure. Another thing you might want to work with some more is the transition of your shading tones, they should be softer and smoother.... aside from that, I will say you're pretty damn good for only being 16. Keep up the good work.
