DEFINITELY one of Hanna-Barbera's better works, very cute and, yet so poignant both at the same time, doesn't go off in hokey sing-alongs from Yogi, Boo-Boo, Snagglepuss, et al.
@6DoKtoR3 Definitely the original and I watched it back in the early 1970s. I too used to search the TV schedules as it would disappear for years at a time even then. I came across it again, some 15 years later, when I first subscribed to Sky in 1993! It was about 5 years ago that I discovered it on the internet (limewire) and was able to enjoy it at will with my own kids. then
Is this the original version? This was both mine and my brother's favourite Christmas cartoon. I remember watching it for two consecutive Christmas's and being absolutely gutted when it wasn't on again. I searched the tv sections every Christmas for it year after year without success. Something just doesn't seem the same though and it isn't how I remember it. Anyone know?
@kris1976melo Hi cheers for reply. Still not convinced however. I think that this is something of a 'Disneyfied' ( bad word), revamped version for the modern kid. It just doesn't seem right to me at all especially the music/sound effects. I watched 'this' in the mid 70's or so. I was thrilled when I came across this on Youtube but alas I am still convinced that this isn't the version I remember.
@bindyland If you got Real Player downloaded (free media player) On your Pc/Laptop You should get a Download icon above the video, Just click to download and you should have it.... I myself use firefox own downloadhelper On this one when you play the video you see a red/yellow/blue little icon slowly turning click the tiny upside down triangle next to it, to view video options and click to download...
This was my favourite childhood Christmas movie. Thank you thank you for posting it. I am hunting for it on DVD (doubt I'll find it) or a downloadable copy... :)
