Can't say that I'm to0 fond of that shotgun pumping animation. It's to0 much like other FPS games where your character holds it in some awkward fashion to pump it. GSC had it perfect in unmodded Shadow of Chernobyl. That's how a pro handles a pump shotgun. It's also g0od in Clear Sky, but different, showing that Scar isn't quite as skilled as Marked One.

You definitely do not know much about animation. the animations in Soc are so bad, CS animations are much better. They are more fluid, but some of the animations are still unrealistic.

This is a matter of opinion and in my opinion the original SoC shotgun pump animation was better. I'm not going for lo0ks. I'm going for function. Form MUST follow function. There's no need to hold a pump shotgun cockeyed to wrack the slide. Marked One pumps as it recoils, making a "trombone gun" indistinguishable from an autoloader in his hands. This is the mark (get it? "mark") of an expert shotgunner. The Mossberg in SMOD has a horrible pump animation (possibly the worst I've seen).

Thanks! What do you think of the USP Compact in STALKER? I think it's the best of all the pistols. I've shot a USP40 in real life (and also a SIG/Sauer P220 in .45 ACP). The entire USP series is awesome.

@pRopaaNS In Oblivion Lost (and certain other mods), a pistol is actually useful. Especially fun for hunting snorks and trying to score accurate headshots. I try to go for one shot, one kill -- as much as possible anyway. It's a fun sport in the Zone. I like the idea of the sawed-off being a slot-2 weapon like a pistol. After all, what's the point of it being chopped down? To make it more pistol-sized. Putting it in slot-3 defeats the point of it being chopped down into a hogleg.
