@shaurz re-cooking the pcb. it seems that the solder joints degrade over time. it takes a reflow oven. the paste has to be re-applied after the components are removed.

No i dont, i just look after my ps3. i have never dropped it, it try to keep it cool and i aways clear the dust out from the vents i used to have a fan with it as well but it broke, im in the process of getting a new one.

i have had my ps3 for 3 years now and nothing has gone wrong with it, i play it like crazy and its fine, i have the 40GB one, no problems what so ever XD

o well, xbox 360's got rrod and ps3's got ylod, i just sent my xbox back to microsoft cus of the rrod. next time ima wait 2 years to find which console is better..maybe the ps4 and the xbox720 are next to come out......

Looks like the 60gb models they are repairing. Those ones can heat up much fatser and hotter resulting in the yellow light of death.
