This state has girls and boys wrestling leagues so what was this? In states which don't, boys win 80-85% of the time. Girls wins are mostly in the 103 and 112 weight classes. A few exceptional girls can defeat boys consistently but that ends when the boys mature. Rare for a girl to win in the regionals or state matches. After high school you don't see mixed wrestling because the young women are noncompetitive.

Statistics reveal that 80% of high school mixed matches are won by boys. And the girls' win are mostly in the low weight levels and often by junior or senior girls against freshmen males. Honestly, have you ever witnessed a top college wrestling meet? Hardly a chance a female could compete at that level. Be realistic.

I live in New York City now and in the past week I've seen 3 guys pinned by girls including a senior who got pinned by a 10th grade girl wrestling in her first varsity match. This state has girls and boys wrestling leagues so what was this? In states which don't, boys win 80-85% of the time. Girls wins are mostly in the 103 and 112 weight classes. A few exceptional girls can defeat boys consistently but that ends when the boys mature. Rare for a girl to win in the regionals or state matches. After high school you don't see mixed wrestling because the young women are noncompetitive.

These are kids--girls can defeat boys at this age; but as the boys mature it takes an extremely talented and skilled female to defeat skilled males. Statistics reveal that 80% of high school mixed matches are won by boys. And the girls' win are mostly in the low weight levels and often by junior or senior girls against freshmen males. Honestly, have you ever witnessed a top college wrestling meet? Hardly a chance a female could compete at that level. Be realistic.

If you are asking which ethnicity makes up the largest demographic it would be Asians, mostly Japanese and Filipino. Whites are the 2nd largest group. Indigenous Hawaiians make up less than 10% of the population.

Who said anything about state meets? I live in New York City now and in the past week I've seen 3 guys pinned by girls including a senior who got pinned by a 10th grade girl wrestling in her first varsity match. Everybody knows the boys win the vast majority of the coed matches but wins by girls happen a lot more often than some people would have you believe.

@sEEWA1000 actually, any wrestler regardless of their own or their opponent's gender, will "amp it up" once they've got their rival in a pinning position. Most wrestlers are embarassed to getpinned, so making the combination hurt or sting helps break the spirit, thereby facilitating the pin.
