@SpirosBass Presumably, 750rms is a good estimate. Unfortunately, Earthquake has not supplied us with exact RMS despite our efforts to attain the information. Your best bet is to contact the manufacturer.
ok lets say i have a sub thats 600 rms and 1200 peak, can i run more than 600 watts through it right? sorry im a noob with this stuff, like could i run 800 wats through them
Oh! Couple more questions to the dbxi 12's.. Which would be better to get dual v.c or single v.c and 12inch or or 15inch... Btw im only askin so much cuz im just tryin2 get thebest setup for now.. Thx
@Pluto253 These Subwoofers are top quality. End of story. Not only will they last you awhile, but they are backed by a 5 year warranty through earthquake. A company who has that much confidence in their products will never disappoint you.
I dont see that earthquake 12 handling no 600rms. It looks whimpy like a kicker cvr or comp. Only thing I like about earthquake woofers is the fat surround. Go with audioque if your buying anything in this price range plz...
@twiztid83222 Actually you would be surprised, Earthquake Sound gear is actually very good gear. The woofers hit hard and sound great, and that goes for any woofer in their line. The shallow woofer system woofers are amazing and sound better than most other shallow mount woofers. Don't knock until you try it, their is a reason why Earthquake Sound is a very well known company.
Earthquake 15" HoLeeS? what do you guys think about that Earthquake subwoofer? Sonic Electronix you should get a hold of these subs and do a review of them :)
@facebag666 I just checked out that sub. And I see why they named it the HoLeeS,lol! That thing is a monster sub! Just don't know how come I barely hear anybody talk about it!
@ronniethepoodle Kicker L7 subwoofers are pretty beefy and they sound amazing, so yeah it is not easy finding a woofer than can beat it within its own class.
@SonicElectronixTV I had Rockford Fosgate P3D410 10" and also sounded quite good but not enough bass output =/ so decided to try out square sub since its not that common, at least not in my region. Next step would be T2 if i was gonna buy new one...
@ronniethepoodle maybe, you should check out the entire line of Earthquake subs before making a comment like that. True Bassheads do NOT go for anything from Kicker, which is apparently clear by most of the people here who responded to you here. And I can think of plenty of brands that would smash anything from kicker! Plus, kicker is a commercially popular brand like rockford fosgate JL, and MTX. Not the best choices for true bassheads in this game!
@1LoudMerc Alright first off, half the people on here don't know shit about subs and think Alpine and Dual are good subs: sorry, those are sold at Walmart. also, who gives a crap about this line? My MTX TS8512 can handle as much (probably more) power than the 15" earthquake. And I wouldn't say that "plenty of brands would smash anything from Kicker." Ever heard of the Solo X? It's ONLY 3,000 watts rms. Nice try bud. Just because Kicker is affordable doesn't mean they are shit.
@ag69192 probably sick as hell, lol! The only amps I know that can power something like that would be something like the DCaudio 9.0k, a stetson 7k2e, or 2x sundown saz3500s.
Sorry,the 15inch Earthquake is 750 rms ??? please reply me,it is important!!!

@DorckWoW Yes, it is always recommended to overpower the subwoofer. 800 Watts RMS would be perfect.

@NikeGuy709 Me? an MECP Master, an amateur? employed by one of the best shops in the United States? an amateur? try again.
I lol'd at your judging them off their ability to " hit hard ". There is much more to a quality woofer then hitting hard, amateur.

Hey Seth, do a review on the DBXi's and the MAGMA versions of the Earthquake subs. Both of those subs look beefy.

@reallyrandom222 affordable? XDDD
I could put a Sundown saz 2500watt amp to that crappy square mtx sub and blow the stiching off the surrounds with just 800watts from that amp,ha,ha!
And solo X? Are you serious,ha,ha!
Ever heard of Ascendant audio SMD? 3500rms! How about Soundstream XXX? 10,000rms! Incriminator Warden? 2500rms!
Go to a SPL competition, and you won't really see anybody using anything from mtx, or kicker. Nice try for YOU,ha,ha!

ag69192 3 months ago
@ag69192 yeah, I was saying that to someone else here! Those things have a huge magnet to it! I'm still looking to see who has used them already.
1LoudMerc 3 months ago 2
@1LoudMerc yeah that big magnet that almost weighs 115lbs. I wonder how 7,000 Watts RMS sounds coming from 1 subwoofer. 15,000 Watts Peak

@1LoudMerc Just the sub woofer alone is
$2,000, and not including the shitload of batteries you need and probably around 3 alternators, and the amp. and a 10 farad cap. like alot haha

Are these ratings legit true rms ratings or they over rated? Looks like a pretty nice subwoofer though.
