I feel like this is the part where the whole story went downhill. They killed the coolest boss in the game, and introduced us to all these new characters (Kenzie, Oleg, Viola, Angel and Zimos) who just weren't as interesting as the original Shaundi and Pierce (I'm generalizing, Zimos and Oleg were fantastic, but I didn't much care for Angel, Viola or Kenzie).

@harold3456 Agreed. Act 1 was definitely the best part of the story. It was about getting revenge on Phillip Loren. Then it was all about power and taking down the Syndicate. AND then STAG got involved,, so you ended up fighting on all fronts.

On the other hand, the story shouldn't be taken seriously. All the missions from all 3 acts were fun, and that's all that matters.

You are wasting a lot of unneccessary ammo by spraying all over the place like that. 1-2 well placed headshots with the pistol (either variant) will instantly take down the Morningstar gangsters (exception being the Specialists or Brutes of course) on Normal difficulty and below. The SMG is quite useless unless you get one of them upgraded to flaming bullets.

It needs to be taken into consideration that most gamers play sandbox games on consoles, however, open free world rpgs such as; Elder Scroll and Fallout are a different story. They just play better on PCs. Regarding this particular part of Saints Row, lower the difficulty to casual and the Brute will fall off after a few shots immediately. Doing this won't affect any trophies or achievements by the way.

Alright those with the issues at the big ball thing with the brute.All you have to do (PC guys) is to lower your graps to "low" and change your resolution to 600x800 or as low as you possibly can,this is the most recent update and it completely worked.Thumbs up so all can see.

@T50ify no, the problem was that my game was lagging so badly that it glitched and skipped a cutscene, but the character kept moving as if the cutscene hadnt glitched. so by the time my character caught up, it was 2 late

I play this on pc with lowest settings possible. It's very hard to get the brute to die, but it is possible if you do nothing but headshots.

However, I used GOLDENGUN cheat, but if you use this, you can't get achievements nor will the game autosave after missions anymore.

Anyone still having trouble with this part cause of the glitch, use "goldengun" cheat for that part, he will fall off as he is supposed to cause its a one shot kill. Deactivate it after your done to return to normal gameplay.
