Still, this is... not my favourite sequence ever. Brave Maximus from Car Robots works better for me. Not as loud, more mechanical sounds, and a speed that makes sense for a giant.

@93wafel Indeed it is, the Japanese version tends to go overboard on the "dramatic" and "hero" music. Not to mention the dumb sound effects. Plus they try real hard to sound dramatic when they yell.

There's some real messed up stuff about the Headmasters series - like unceremoniously shuffling off Convoy (and after he'd just been resurrected, too!) and Rodimus, apparently killing off Galvatron just to bring him back and have him die a second, much goofier death... Killing off Broadcast and Soundwave just to immediately resurrect them as recolored versions...

But flaws aside, I think it's 1980s Transformers at its best.

To the guys before me: I think Fortress constructed the console like that to ensure he was calm before a fight, and was thinking logically (his body must be in physical and mental balance before he can draw it).

And JagWar, I'm pretty sure Fort Max came before Link did, so it's his weapon.

What's the point of having a sword to trigger Transforming into a giant robot mode, it strikes me as the daftest part of Headmasters, sure its a good weapon in robot mode but to trigger transforming, it seems silly!

That's mainly just in G1 cartoon.

Grimlock for example has red eyes in the Marvel comics. Optimus himself has had yellow, red and orange in both toys and comics.

@Vachidra No. That's just how the G1 Cartoon was. Autobots were identified by their blue eyes while Decepticons were identified by their red eyes. As such, it wouldn't make much sense for Fort Max to have red ones, as that would cause Autobots to immediately shoot at him.

I prefer it to let robots have whatever color eyes they want, why have such a narrow requirement? then we can have blue eyes, red eyes, green eyes, yellow eyes, etc. for variety.

@mariusvanrhijn actually u forgot that G1 Metroplex has red eyes too so does Brainstorm (From Rebirth, not Headmasters),even the cassetsbots Eject and Rewind (well they have red visors if u count those as eyes)

as for the whole blue eyes, not everyone is blue eyes, the G1aerialbots Slingshot has a yellow visor for eyes.
