Alembics are a nice bass I have similar model now if you really want to bring the funk get yourself down to Brooklyn and get to a pure luthier carl Thompson by far my favorite bass btw nice groove line aka the funksters lol

@bassmanvic You know....I wasn't that crazy about the full size body on the MK. My old Essence was much more comfortable. I recently bought a Carvin SB5000. It has a quilted maple top in dragonburst finish and I love it. I may get a SB4000 too.
