Do the Japanese creators of these like in japan think we all have bad dining voices or something no offense to those who buy it and use the program to though but they do make English voices sound pretty bad I'm not saying this one particularly but more than just the voice of prima and I've heard so other ones too...
So no offense to u but I curious do they think that of us?!
@Hippiefriend101 I don't think so, I recently discovered the engloids and I think they sound better than the japanese voice backs. I think it's cuz english is hard to use in vocaloids, so users need to work harder to make it sound good. Besides, as far as I've heard, Sweet Anne & Prima have classical type voices so they sound 'thick', while the japanese vocaloids have a thin voice, similar to most J-Pop singers. Have you heard Anne's or Prima's covers of 'My Heart will go on'? Listen to them.
I know this can be done better but like cmon guys for the history of voice synthesizer this is a big improvement, Prima is an Opra singer there for her true colours are shown in that. The vocaloid is only as good as the user
@19AnniAngel92 I believe that the reason it seems like the english vocaloids do not sound as accurate is because the english language uses stress alot more than syllables. For example, the japanese language can easily say ko-ko-ro (heart). In english, we stretch and put stress into the word he-art, which would turn to the word heart. I apologize if I'm confusing. @_@;;
i heard a few vocaloids singing in german and understand not much (and i speak german very well) oo
than i heard luka singing in russian the people from rusia don´t understand her, but when the vocaloids singing japanese it´s much easyer to understand the words ^^

Why? Why do the English Vocaloids always have such terrible pronounciation!! Do the Japanese ones have the same problem and I just can't tell? I really really want to see Prima reach the awesome I know she is capable of. This is just so bloody depressing.
The english vocaloids do not always have terrible pronunciation. You clearly need to look a more english vocaloid vids. Also you need to realize that most of the people who use English Vocaloid are Japanese users and not that good with english

Believe me I'm trying. I probably just don't know where to look. I know they arent all terrible but the videos I see often seem to have a Japanese accent. I do like the English Vocaloids and there voices, especially Prima, which is why Im a little frustrated. Sorry if I offended you I should stop using YouTube as my venting box.
English is also a REALLY hard language to put into a voice synthesizer since the sounds are not consistent, whereas japanese sounds are consistent. English has silent letters, long and short vowels and just weird pronunciation, so it's harder to make them pronounce correctly.
@SteamPoweredGoth i get what you mean some are better at english however prima is not an english vocaloid she is an opera singer, shes closer to english than say miku but she isnt english either. (has anybody els noticed that vocaloids bassed on voice actors tend to be better(better range, well rounded) than ones based on singers?like piko lily and gakupo as vocaloids are so-so but the singers they are from are really good

I think what would make this better in my opinion: if she held the notes out longer. Like "In other words" that sounded really good :D

She sounds off key... I doubt she is, but she sounds like it. Poor Prima. I think the voice somehow needed softening to make her sing this better.

I think she is only meant for opera singing
