  • I've seen very stupid comments here like; AWWWWW what a cutie! where can i buy one?!! Well, these people see these animals as some cuddly things, Without understanding these animals an endangered species, so they are illegal to sell. Not far from where i live is a small reservat for these little things and there are only 30 om these little guys. • craigs list is your best bet

  • 3rd pic is ADORIBLE!!!!!!!

  • They are so cute!!! I saw a couple in their little cloth "pouch" that the guy had for them once and they just stared up at me with those cute little eyes. So I decided to call them "peek a boos" because that's what they did, and I didn't remember their name. hehe

  • they look like bats

  • Don't get one from a pet shop. Please. Aside from the fact that pet shops have highly questionable breeding practices, the glider you get will also not be socialized and your experience will probably not be a good one.

Buy from a reputable private breeder, and DO YOUR RESEARCH before you do. These are NOT hamsters, they have very different - and much more important - dietary and behavioral needs. And they live a lot longer. Be responsible.

  • Very cute but will it blend?

  • Daves Pet Shop over on third street has them

  • Its so ciut

  • Gliders aren't illegal in most of America...As a breeder in VA I can tell you that they are illegal in certain states and if you have four or more females you must have a breeding license. They are nocturnal, must be kept in pairs, and have special dietary needs. They need large cages (the taller the better) and at least a hour of your time everyday. The average price for an average colored glider is about $150.Responsible breeders/pet stores will only sell in pairs.Do your research before you buy.

  • I talked to a vet about getting one. He told me that they do better in pairs, they're nocternal, so you better like being up at night, they do not do well being alone. Don't get one if you're never home and like sleeping at night.

  • @milzfan1228 these animals are illegal 2 own in america. if ppl catch you, you can actually get fined or ,possibly, thrown into jail. (this info is based off of wht happened 2 my own cousin)

  • Esos animales no se pueden comprar, son animales exóticos. ¿Para qué quieres comprar uno de esos animales?

  • i don't think they sell them as pets

  • @isidora121minime

they do I had one but I got mine from a friend that breeds them.

  • Also, if you buy from a pet shop, be sure to find a really good vet that knows these animals very well so that they can make sure that you werent screwed. most pet shops will breed incest babies and you'll pay around $200 and the glider will only live for a few months. So just be careful and maybe expand your search for a rescuer. If you message me, I'm sure I can help you out. I know a few people in the Florida area that would be more than happy to help you =]

  • Sugar Gliders make great pets! My mom and I used to rescue them. I think at one time we had 26, all fixed and all very friendly and playful. They are one of the greatest pets ever. If you train them to be "bra babies" then you can take them everywhere, including restruants. Don't say they don't make good pets if you've never owned one. And as for pet shops, I would be VERY careful about which pet shop you get them from. You should probably actually look for a rescuer or a certified breeder.

  • I`m not sure they should be sold as pets...Specific needs and environment Ect.

  • They are cute but you shouldn't be promoting pet shops. Thanks

  • Funny that I came across this video. My friend bought a sugar glider from this shop in deerfield, down hillsburo called UnderGround Reptiles.

  • hi i am getting one for my daughter for christmas... what do they eat?

  • @sticksofnh Just find informations in Google. It's full of informations. And don't buy ONE, they're very social and one can even die. I have two Gliders.

  • @1994saphira i know how to take care of them and i already have one and i am just getting one for my daughter for x-mas thank you and i know that they need a companian or they will die. i keep mine in my pocket when in my house and my daughter has a huge room plus a walk in closet so i thiunk it will be fine, thank you! :)

  • ...oh also, they eat yogurt with fruit and granola mixed into it. lol

  • My buddy has a pair of them (brother and sister). They're awesome little animals. They love to climb up on me and leap onto a sheet he has up on the ceiling. And they are sooo quick. Only downside is they have musk glands they use to spray into their pouch. Some really smelly shit.

  • I wouldn't ever recommend one of these as a pet unless you have a lot of time and dedication to taming them. They're not like a cat or dog that will adapt to people easily. I had one for a few months that, despite my best efforts, couldn't get to stay calm at all around me back when I was in college... Just didn't have the time for her, so I gave her away to someone who did.

They're cute, but they can be very bitey and vicious, and they make a very odd sound. Research before you buy.

  • we also domesticated the squirrel which brings me to the question: Since my gf wants a fennic fox, should i get a squirrel or a sugar glider?

  • I'm looking for the same thing dude i live in west palm beach 2. OH I SOOOO WANT ONE AND IM GETTING ONE ON MY B-DAY!!!!

  • I wnt 1!!!!

  • I LOVE SUGER GLIDERS. I actualy coaght one in the wild once. It nibbled my pinky. (Little sister of Megadeanomite2)

  • whats a sugar glider?

  • we have flying squirles here in east texas. ther are all brown with the extra skin and very flat tails. due to logging, these beautiful cretures are more rarely seen wild here than ever before. They are timid and only come out late in the evening and have a habit of swiping our regular squirles nest and tree holes. They are either lazy or very smart !!!!!!! Bless all of our native american species. And PLEASE ! have some mercy on them...

  • fuck you

  • In my state (Czech republic) are shops with the gliders. :]

  • Responding to JasonBL1975. Hear, hear! They are indeed native to Australia and are also found in New Guinea. It irks me that Indonesia is considered so close a tie to Australia. My one reason for this could be that it is Indonesia aiding in the trafficking of our beautiful and unique fauna. Thank God I live in Australia where the desire for owning what is considered an unusual or exotic animal as a pet is frowned upon, and our laws protect them. Pets should be companions not status symbols.

  • Sugar gliders are AUSTRALIAN. They are found in Eucaliptus forests and drink nectar from flowers and eat fruit and bugs. Bloody indonesia is not AUSTRALIA. Different land mass altogether. AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE .,.. OI, OI, OI.

  • Its the flying squirrel realy.

  • Saw the dislikes

    Left

came back to write this comment

  • What a qute little thing 0:28, 0:32 :)

  • this isn't yahoo answers you cunt

  • It's a cute little bastard

  • i want one

  • @LiveBaiter3900 nobody's asking you to put your pet back into the wild; it would obviously die. Just don't buy any more and support the industry of these poor creatures being taken from their habitats to be bred in captivity and raised in depressing square houses

  • They're extra tasty with mediterranean rice.

  • @spunkets rofl thats fucked up!!!!

  • ZOMG!! I want one!!

  • Mark's Arc on Lake worth road in Greenacres near the iHop

  • p.s. jfGit

  • Darth dropped his lightsaber I see. (like v dislike meter)

  • extioc petstore that is where i got mine and my heghog

  • i breed those! i have 22 right now and they go for 500$ to 1800$

  • Why so many dislikes? The guy didn't say he was going to show you actual footage of these animals, he was asking what the name of the shop is where you can get those things.

    Trolls.

  • the number of dislikes is amazing

  • @Gnorkensmorken Ikr.

  • @SpartanXan117

so many dislikes because its a misleading title, and whats more is that this isnt picture tube. we come here for video, google images works well for pictures.

  • @Gu7Vr All it says is Sugar Gliders. How the hel is that misleading?

  • @SpartanXan117 You don't know what a troll is.

A troll is a dumbshit who uploads a picture slideshow to a video site and wastes the time of 2.2 million people.

Let's see: 2.2 million people * 45 seconds each = over 3 man years of time wasted watching this steaming pile of manure.

  • @OMGtehWINNAR OMG, U ARE IN THAT IDIOT GROUP?!!

A TROLL is one who is a fucker who does nothing but be fucking annoying and rude to EVERYONE!!!

    TROLL!

  • My snake would love to make the acquaintance of that sugar glider

  • @livebaiter3900 actually sugar gliders are native to Australia and it's neighboring islands

  • Must we own everything:(!

  • yes, i know I am super late... but you have to get them from an exotic pet store... there is one in royal palm area(not far from wpb) and it is called bravo pet store doesnt always have them... they do require love and attention every day :) they are great little friends though, and they are not illegal in florida :)

    \

  • Better get my pokeball out and catch that sucker

  • wired!?!?!!??

  • You know it's illegal to have these as pets, right? Oh wait that never stopped anyone before -.- leave the wild critters wild please

  • @pelicansdontkayak

They're only illegal in two states... Not Florida. I have one; they caught them some to 15 years ago, but not too many; we BREEDED them here. I learned all about it before getting one; there's quite still a lot more of them in Australia.

  • We already kill thousands of dogs and cats per year because of this......

Human greed everyone, get a good look at it

  • THERE ARE WILD ANIMALS!!!!!!!! STOP SAYLING THEM,O HAVE AT HOME!!!!STUPID PEOPLE!!!!!

  • @temporerodeovalle English, please?

  • Awww... :3

  • ya in florida there is a shop tht sells sugar gliders its called look it up on mapquest!

  • my sister sells these when thier mad they sound like angry elfs having sex

  • I thought it was gonna be a GOD DAM VIDEO!

  • hmm does it ocure to you that the habitat for wich they ocustomed to is slowly disapearing. It makes sense to me that we should make them more familiar to a house as that is where they will inevitably be living in the future. You have to start sometime why not now. And screew natural stuff just cause it wasn't made by us doesn't mean its better, geneticaly modified crops save more people than cancer reaserch does because of the massive amount of food we can make. just throwing it out there.

  • very easy to buy in Thailand. you can buy it from Jatujak market. (biggest weekend market) very famous pet in Thailand.

  • dude so mean those are very sensitive creatures and no you cant get them at pet stores but they are cute lol be dont kill it!!!!

  • poes

  • i had one for six years oh put it back in the wild... ur dumb mine wont leave my side she sleeps on the same pillow i do....

  • Leave our endangered Australian species alone wanker..

  • @LiveBaiter3900 if you did your research you would have found this ''the sugar glider is a marsupial that is native to eastern and northern mainland Australia (as well as being introduced to Tasmania, Australia) and is also native to New Guinea and the Bismarck Archipelago.'' you have no clue at all. i am a parks and wildlife ranger in the daintree Queensland Australia. they are nothing like cats and dogs. they are timid and delicate and can die of shock from almost anything.

  • IT'S GOT A BIG HEAD AND A LITTLE BODY!!!!

  • yes its called leave them the fuck alone

  • theres is shop with exotic pets in point pleasant, nj, u dont need a license but they have sugar gliders, hedgehogs, squirrels, and lots more

  • I wanted to get one and somehow we ended up buying a chinchilla...He's pretty cool though!!

  • my ex got one, they are the biggest wastes of time. usually they are only nice to one person, the owner and half the time even they get nipped on the hand once in a while they are a pain in the ass. you have to constantly change they're food or they get bored with it. i believe they can live 10 to 15 years. but they are expensive and stupid get a small dog or something you would be much happier

  • they are a critically endangered animal here in australia, they are not for the enjoyment of some rich fat arsed american. animals are NOT toys.

  • @GOBLINKINGISM I know right! So fucking disgusting that people over there are owning our endangered animals.

  • @pippy1994 Hear hear! Americans think they own the fucking planet. It pisses me off!

  • @GOBLINKINGISM They aren't critically endangered, they are actually quite adaptable critters, some even which have been found to live in small amounts of bush. Sugar gliders aren't that expensive, only around 150 dollars for one and that is hardly expensive compared to the average price of dogs, cats and other domestic pets in the United States ( if your going to use the ''American'' stereotype, please do remember that America isn't a country, its called the United States of America).

  • @darkvanilla22 that has to be the dumbest thing i have ever heard.. lol not a country, you lot need a better education system. dont even try and tell me they aren't critically endangered you dont even live here for one, and two its my job bucko i think i would know.. jeeze i think i will keep my general thought that you're all stupid thanks.

  • he's right ya know, its really the united states, if you want to be really technical it would be the united states of north america. it is kind of wierd we dont have a real name for this country like mexico or canada when people say america they automatically think of the states but realistically canadians and mexicans from mexico are american too. there just not from the states, i guess south america would be full of americans too. but they probably prefer to distance themselves from us, the US

  • @GOBLINKINGISM rofl they're not endangered

  • @GOBLINKINGISM Actually America isn't a country. America, or, the Americas, is made up of two continents, South America, where you will find Peru, Mexico, Chile, Argentina etc, and North America, where you will find Canada and the United States of America. United States of America, or, U.S.A. for short, is often referred to as America but it is much like how the United Kingdom is not a country, rather, it is made up of several.

How about you finish your education before criticizing others'.
