Well I agree that Iran should be talked to with diplomacy, but there are a whole lot of reports that say they're either not working on weaponized stuff at all, or are a decade off. first of all there's not that many refugees, and second of all there are over 20 muslim nations around Israel and they don't do anything to help the refugees. The money that does come in isn't used properly, you think with so many muslim nations around would have assimilated them into their own countries by now? Israel is a haven for progress. Instead of hating Israel, people should take note of its success and try to mimic its domestic policies (i.e. the Arab countries). Israel was formed on the basis of capitalism and Western ideologies that affords its people freedoms and wealth unlike any other country in the region where totalitarianism is the standard. Look, the situation is obviously very complicated over there and I have sympathy for both sides, but no conflict is one sided. Regardless of who started it, it's not going to stop until both sides come to a consensus(sp?) about what to do. It's history that Israel has its fair share of aggressive policies in the region as well as Palestine. While I am an Obama supporter, I am a bit troubled at this segment. While he appears to be supporting peace talks, he seems a little one-sided toward Isreal

Actually one of my good childhood friends is an Israeli citizen. That doesn't change the fact that we are the sole unqualified supporter of Israel. Am I too believe that this "beacon of democracy" can only survive as a theocracy? Or is it racist? Kahane(spelling?) would tell me that it IS a race issue. Please, I'm not blaming Israel for Iraq. They have been the main benefactors of that action, though I think that is mainly due to our own incompetence, not some Israeli scheme. However, we ARE pledged to defend Israel with American lives and dollars.
Why must I support a Palestinian state? Why can't we wash our hands of the whole situation? There would be much more incentive for the Palestinians/Israelis to pursue diplomacy and much less incentive for the terrorists to target us.

I should have been clearer, I don't think perpetuating this whole thing is in the best long term interest of Israel either. However, the current government there appears(at least from the outside), to be quite happy with our policy since the 70's.

Well I agree that Iran should be talked to with diplomacy, but there are a whole lot of reports that say they're either not working on weaponized stuff at all, or are a decade off. I don't know, I kind of think they're acting defensively. Countries with nukes get CASH. Think India and Pakistan. We even cut a sweet deal with North Korea(lol even if they just sold them to Syria.) Nobody died, cooler heads prevailed. The US and Russia had some crazy rhetoric going, but we pulled through.
