@ApoloExpress We met Nick here in Lexington many years ago when he had a TV teen dance show - similar to American Bandstand. He was very personable and spoke of his sister Rosie on occasion. I have always loved her music. For me though , George is much handsomer than his dad altho Nick is a very good looking man. Rosemary will be forever young just as I love her in my favorite "White Christmas". Thanks for posting this. - Paula

what is it about her that reminds me of judy garland? they could not be more different and yet the approach of both ladies is so honest and comes from the depth of their souls... neither could ever 'fake' a lyric or toss a performance aside. i was lucky to have seen rosie in concert a few times.

I had the same experience just this morning..I was listening to Rosie singing "you go to my head" and"you belong to me" on her last studio album("sentimental journey") and suddenly felt she sounded so much like Judy in her phrasing and also the deep warm yet vunerable quality of Judy in some of the better performances of her later years.;remarkable!

Oh does this ever make me cry.. This is the performance I remember.. I was absolutely positive I'd heard her singing this, and here it is! I've loved her to pieces ever since I could hear a song! By threee yeears old I loved Rosemary! "The best friend a song ever had."

I was just thinking of my mom who died a few years back and that song really makes you shed a few tears! The way she sings it you can hear the sadness and you want to ask what pain she is feeling too. What a lady.
