ANY and ALL Virus removal should be done in "Safe Mode" so Windows will activate processes it does not use in normal mode. Viruses can reside in the deepest depths of your computer and some even reside in RAM so you need to clean in Safe Mode. Doing it in normal mode would be pointless.

I found my redirect virus. I deleted imhost, then ran malwarebytes. Didn't do squat. So i came here found out that task manager could hold virus. Then went and found svchost.exe researched it, then right clicked it to see what was runnig and that darn imhost was there, but deleted from files. Right clicked imhost and made it stop running, now i can use google without redirect virus. Yay. Would have never went this far with out this vid, and slow google searching.

For trojan and all other viruses. 1) go to run and type in system restore.2) open that up and click next and pick a certaint time for the restore to go back too. I am on my i Pod while it is restoreing. It should restore, shutdown, then re-start back up. ALL done. I left out a few details BUT im only 13 and i found this out. I have a virus which is named NTUSER.DAT, not just one, but MANY! I even know where it is (C:\Users\Naja). I cannot delete it manually, nor with the CMD. When I try to delete it (via CMD), it says "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process". @ashishpsharma iexplorer.exe is an internet explorer launch file. Maybe it's infected. you can try to end that by typing in on your Run or CMD command taskkill /im iexplorer.exe /f

then follow the other instructions from the video. You might need to use safe-mode if you can't fix it on normal windows.

@imalvincris Most probably, you have a sality32 worm. It's annoying and will consume all your CPU resources. You can try to use google and search for AVG Sality Remover. The name of that tool would be rmslt.exe. That should help.

By the way I did not have access to the task manager and and my registry was all screwed up that i could not run any programs that i have installed. and i still managed manually search, find and remove multiple copies trojan houses by hand with relying on anything.

there are many viruses out there that exact explicit scripts in to your registry editor so, many people might think a virus is purely gone but in reality there are some virus that come in forms of scripts that hide in your registry editor.
