I think you're right. If a transformer would blow up you'd see black smoke and not steam. Looking at the massive white column in the city at 2:27, it must be steam.
obviously it wasnt a terrorist attack. if it was, it was a horrible attack that did nothin. they would do a shit load of work jst to have steam go into the air.and if this was pre-911, no one would have even guessed it was a terrorist attack. its obviously just a malfuction,NYC isnt exactly in t he greatest condition.

This may well be the result of an old pipe disintegrating, BUT, why would Mayor Bloomberg say immediately afterwards that it is NOT a Terrorist attach or a the result of Criminal Action? Is he psychic? How would anyone know so soon? Ideas?
Because it makes sense, and also because there was plenty of evidence. The FBI is still investigating, but there's a lot of evidence towards the disentegrating pipe, and none at all behind a terrorist attack. However, if it turns out to be one, I'll post an apology. It won't, though.
