I was wondering about Nissen's mother and her attitude and then I saw he had a foster father. Why would she care if she lost custody of him?

The Sheriff should be publically denounced. Had he acted on the rape charge right away three innocent people would still be alive.

So good. I watched it all, after I watched the movie. Very eye opening. Nissen, you can tell he's a bad guy, and he has no shame. Those roots of pain and evil are deep, God have mercy. But Lotter, he is manipulative. He looks dopey and harmless but truly he is an animal, a wolf on sheep's clothing. I agree with the social worker! How could this have been prevented? Why didn't anyone help those disturbed kid?

After listening and watching..i'm not so sure Lotter was the only gunman...in Teena's own words to that hick asshole sherriff she said "Tom hit and attacked me,the other one just raped me he didn't hit me" So if Tom's so innocent...and Johns the major aggressor why was it any diffrent the night they raped her,they taking turns? The whole town seems ignorant and as if they blame Teena for coming to town,she's the liar and the different one..wow. But this was at a time when being gay out.

This was such a senseless murder of 3 innocent people!! So awful. It's hard to believe people can be so evil and the Sheriff??? OMG he should be in Jail.

Actually, they murdered 2 people. Lana was shot/left for dead, but she survived. That's what happened at the end of the movie.

@TheStarSorceress Lana wasn't there when Brandon was shot. The movie is alot different from the actual story. It was Brandon, Lisa, and that other guy that was there. And they all three got shot and die. Some names were changed. And some parts of the story were a little different.

@PeytonMarieThompson NO it is Teena Brandon, no names were changed by deed poll, regardles of what 'he' called himself and yes i do consider 'him' a he . doesn't change the fact that the name she was given at birth is the one thing that has stuck .
