  • Awesome song. I still think the Time Machine Tour rendition of Working Man is my favorite to date...especially the version shown on the latest DVD.

  • Geddy isn't checking on Neil, he is also in awe and wanted to see him work that cymbal double bass drum fill. People are entitled to their opinions on everything but RUSH, if you can't respect the musicianship you are a bona fide "idiot". You don't have to listen, but if you can't recognize how amazing these three guys can play their instruments, while triggering other effects with their feet, you should stick to your favorite bands' videos and don't chime in here.

  • The Canadian Led Zeppelin. They are at the caliber of Zeppelin if not greater.

  • This video can only be described as pure nirvana. They are masters and this song is a masterpiece. What great musicians they all are!

  • Great Song To Pop a Beer To After Work.......Rushs crown jewel.....

  • always loved this song. great riff, fab solo, super lyric, - one of their earliest songs but still one of their best.

  • maan , what a great performance :D

  • 0 people aren't working men

  • if they only made this song..it wouldve been enough...it is a rock band at its finest

  • Break through song, what a melodic version. I think that those jazz drumming lessons did Neil good, He was never the best tempo drummer and i think he knew that he was more about style. I think now he truly is one of the best of all time.

  • What a heavy riff...

  • I sometimes feel sorry for Neil 'cause he's left all alone with his drums while Geddy and Alex rock out... :( Poor Neil.

  • @brossej07 lol na geddy is always walkin back and checkin on him

  • @robertbombino999 Huh never noticed... have you seen "Beyond the Lighted Stage"??? Awesome.

  • @brossej07 yes it was the shit i wanna buy it

  • *sigh* I love that es-335....

  • @brossej07 that's a 355

  • @Zeppelinfan25 Ahhh I thought it looked a little smalll....

  • I just gotta say this as a guitarist. People don't appreciate Alex NEARLY as much as they should. He is by far one of the greatest guitarists and I put him right behind Jimi as my favorite guitarist. You rock Lerxst!

  • Al bought that guitar in 1976 with the big advance they got after 2112. It is a Gibson ES355, bought straight from factory. They go for about $5000.

  • this song is no lss than a perfect example of classic rock! and lifesons guitar is mint!

  • I hope they play this like this when they come to el paso in june, their reggae version just isnt the same

  • when was this?

  • @strikerjess, this was filmed on September 24, 2004 at the Festhalle in Frankfurt, Germany during Rush's 30th Anniversary Tour. They hadn't performed in Europe for quite some time by then. The last time before this tour was in the late 80's during the "Hold Your Fire" period.

  • @MrPman851 so its not that old huh, cant wait to see em

  • @strikerjess, nope. Not for another couple years.

  • anyone who disagrees with this obviously doesnt know shit about music...GEDDY, ALEX AND NEIL..ARE ONE OF THE BEST TRIOS OF MUSICIANS IN LIFE

  • geddy lee is the fucking man he stole the solo away from lifeson BASS FTWWW!!!

  • That ending wail by Geddy ! 4:50 YES!!!!!!!

  • fuckin' WMG

  • Rush is one of the greatest groups of all time, most groups today dont even come close. simple question about the dryers no disrespect intended.

  • @lunabranwen hahahah the dryers back on the test for echo tour geddy put a fridge on stage just for laughs and ever since then has been getting more and more random in 07,08 they had those chicken roaster things and alex had some dinosaur toys on his amp and 10,11 they have those steam things

  • they call me the working man.. I guess that's what I am

  • Geddy is a monster on the bass

  • whats with the dryers.

  • @lunabranwen lololol hey man washers and dryers work lmao!! cheers mate

  • @lunabranwen i believe geddy lee DI's his bass so they put things in place of where the bass amps normally would be, i've seen another video with a chicken thing on stage

  • @lunabranwen What?! Who do you think you are questioning Rush? Who are you to question pure genius? Oh... yeah... right... you're nobody. What's with your username? It's absurd.

  • @Bonsai006 Not only does he write drums but Neil Peart writes most of the Lyrics for Rush songs too.

  • @PiHDrummer why the hell wouldnt neil write the whole part

  • @Bonsai006; Geddy and Alex writes all of the music. That includes the drum parts. What Neil does is he refines what Geddy and Alex give him for music. So he has his hand in all of the music, but he doesn't create all of the music.

  • if anybody thinks this has lost it's energy,i think it's them that's lost their energy, and they are hearing with different ears,ye man rush.

  • @4444mrjones Right on, just check out Peaceable Kingdom from Vapor Trails, or he** look at their tour schedule if you have any doubts about how hard this band rocks and plays.

  • Lifeson is crazy good...i hate it when ppl say he sucks. they obviously don't know shit

  • @Zeppelinfan25 I have been told that he sucks dozens of times, yet every one of the "players" who informed me of this fact couldn't even get the opening riff to "Spirit of the Radio" right. Losers

  • @Zeppelinfan25 They don't, dude. No worries. Lifeson rules.

  • @Zeppelinfan25 omg who the fuck says that???

  • @Zeppelinfan25 the haters would die to play like him...

  • @Zeppelinfan25 You can't say ANYBODY in Rush SUCKS.. because anybody who says ANY of them suck, are obviously jealous lol

  • @Zeppelinfan25 I hate it when peope say this type of music is just noise, mediocres...

  • 2:50-3:30

  • Yeah, I guess you´re right. I just think it'd be classier for Peart to respected Rutsey's work this much to play the part's that he came up with. It's not a bad song after all.

  • @juuson For fuckin sure! I totally agree with you :P

  • love alexs solo camera phones and video cams couldnt keep up with the speed of his fingers thats why they put the camera on him so it goes on the big screen

  • Oh man this arrangement is terrible. It´s lost all it´s energy and original rock n´ roll attitude. I mean, I have nothing against bands playing their songs in a different way, but I this time the album version was so much better. And Neil Peart even though a great drummer, totally overdoes his part. It´s not always a good idea to show all the fills you can pull of in one song. But obviously that´s just my humble opinion.

  • The last "they call me the working man" at the end is awesome as hell though

  • Age is probably a factor too. He's almost 60 you know.

  • Geddy's voice has changed alot!
