  • Pat has a octopus on his head. Lol.

  • \m/

  • He reminds me of Matt DAmon

  • Blessed to be a teenager in the 90's

  • SAY IT AIN'T SO OOOOOOOOOOO

  • ;rkjg;lwrjhgi;owqrehgo;iwqerhgoiegdgfije

  • Brian's improv on the rhythm riff is fantastic. And the solo is so doggone good. It's tough to believe that this band has two albums with 1 solo each. And that Rivers put the guitar down. Please Rivers. Pick up the Epiphone.

  • @miraclegro130 whats wrong with a custom strat?

  • @Hipno702 Eh, nothing. I just associate him with the SG more than the Strat, even though he did his best work on the Strat.

  • this song has the best solo known to mankind

  • Freakin best show ever by Weezer!!!

  • niice jazz hands at 3:44 XD go weezer!!!!!

  • The solo in this version is absolute ecstasy

  • they're gone..:(..weezer is gone...

  • Awesome performance. Check out my cover.

  • this is when they used to be very very big!!

  • i love how weezer's performances always pwn their album, regardless of the venue

  • ur five

  • LOL 1:25 he comes outta nowhere

  • i love this song!

    3:36-3:41

Rivers just got done peeing after holding it in for a while!

  • Still prefer the Hard Rock Cafe version.

  • 3:37 hahaha it looks like he was gonna jizz in his pants

  • gozai mas!!! LOVE this version, kills the record (and that's a difficult feat!!!!!

  • i love this stuff it never gets old......

  • domo arigato!

    they are my everything!!!

  • Matt sharp was with them when they wrote their best music, thus is my favourite weezer bassist. Only in dreams, look it up:)

  • @vulcandeathpinch

only in dreams has got to be the most beautiful song i've ever heard

  • Yeah he was their best bassist. Only in dreams is hands down the best bass part in any Weezer song.

  • I like the warped tour version better but this one has the best solo.

  • weezer<3 i love them♥

  • the son is drowning in the flooooooooood YEAH

    YEAYEAH YEAYEAH!!!!!!

  • 1:54 to 2:01 is heaven to my ears

  • i wish i was older than five in '96 so i could've appreciated it when it happened.

  • @thewalker91 right there with you.

Sucks to have not been my age in the 90's.

    This digitial era is shit.

  • Everything sounded great here except the vocals. Not Rivers' best by a long shot.

  • thts bc matt sharpe is a fucktard

  • wow.

  • dude thanks for putting these videos up. they're amazing!

  • Jesus this performance is PHENOMENAL. Look at the anguish and pain in Rivers' face as he plays the solo. Definitely the best version of Say It Ain't So I have ever seen.

  • warped tour is much better imo

  • letterman 94 ftw

  • LOL talks to karl and then says to the audience... "uuh.."

  • wow this is incredible, I wouldn't change anything except a little less flange on rivers guitar

  • how come they keep changin guys?

  • because good bands do that

  • i miss mikey

  • I miss Matt.

And I love how pat is wearing a shirt over his head.

  • YA!!! matt is so much cooler than scott, n was a better bassist.

  • I know right??!!

  • go suck your nan

  • FUCK YOU

  • Bad tase for you

  • muse played in that show :D

  • haa no one tells matt sharp to "chillax"

  • that's karl

  • I wonder what that guy whispered in River's ear?

  • "penis! penis penis penis. that sound alright?"

  • 3:42, wtf matt!?

  • Comment removed

  • key to the golden era, MATT freaking SHARPE! Great falsettos, creative basslines, they have never been the same since. He also offered songwriting ability, something they have TOTALLY lacked since then. Used to be a huge Weezer fan, but the only quality albums to speak of are Blue and Pinkerton. Rivers, you have gone off the emotional deep end, please come back. You reveal WAY too much in your songs now and sound like a sniveling teen.

  • If anything he doesn't reveal enough. He swore to never make an album as personal as Pinkerton again and the result is he's trying to create these pop-songs that offer a glimmer of hope or have a happy feel to them but they're so artifical it just makes me think Rivers is writing to please fans rather than himself.

  • at this point man, should he really care? he's got us on youtube debating SIAS. at this point i dont think it really matters whether or not he pleases the fans or himself. he's got us hooked, line, and sinker.

  • One of the best Song´s ever!!! Love it!!!!!!!!!

  • Cuomo reminds me of a mole.

  • you must know some cool fuckin moles

  • loveeee this song!

  • What kind of strat is that?

  • It was put together from Warmoth parts.

  • nice.

  • Amazing. Heard Rivers on Fresh Air and he was amazing. Incredible interview on NPR.

  • 1:56 to 2:02 sounded insane.

  • so intense

  • My FaVoRiTe sOnG Of D wOrLd XD +*+**+WEEZER+*+*+*+

  • Mustve been freakin hot, with all; those guys wearing undershirts and the drummer with a towel on his head

  • why was the drummer wearing a blanket round his head??

  • he did it for the lulz

  • lulzfest agreed

  • it's sad how shitty they ended up

  • you must have not seem them on their recent tour lol

but yeah, I wish Weezer was still writing this kind of caliber stuff. This show is by far their best. their second? any off the new dates....they had SO much energy

  • shitty? I just saw them last month and it was probably the best live show I've ever seen. And the Red Album is great, just different. You can't expect them to stay the same forever.

  • Amen, brother.

  • you do know its people like you that is the reason rivers called some of his fans "little bitches" cause you wont stop crying about how theyre not the same as when blue came out

  • like anyone really gives a shit?

  • Thanks for posting this whole set, what a cool day that woulda been.

  • i love the jock at the end with no shirt, not even watching the band just doing a little headbob.

  • saw them live at msg last night, they were pretty good

  • GO KARL, GO!

  • yea wtf is that at the end lol

  • wat was wit that random guy coming out and saying something to rivers? at the end lol

  • he's actually not random at all. that's karl koch, the "5th member" of weezer. He runs their web site, acts as videographer, and pretty much go to guy for all things weezer. we love you Karl.

  • Yeah Boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

  • the german crowds are the best

    they kick USA crowds

  • there truth to that, ive been to two "rock am rings" the crowds are fanatical

  • are you fucking serious? besides the goths, germans are the most sedate, calm people? it's fucking pathetic

  • This is the definition of CHILL! I LOVE THIS!!! Just look at Rivers shirt, thats so casual! And the old bassplayer with that high voice on top of Rivers... Man, I can't find words

  • This is pretty cool. I haven't see a video with Matt playing on this song other than the actual video. I saw them live 2 yrs ago and Scott of course was on bass and he's great, but you gotta love Matt.

  • gnarley band dudes..no one like em!!love it

  • Rivers wears his guitar so damn high.

  • if think that's high check out tom morello:). btw if your not a guitarist it makes it easier(in my opinion) to hit the notes.

  • i have the guitar strap. it took me forever to find it lol

  • i have it too!

  • What a band

  • what the hell is happened at the end? :s

  • holy crap thats the bizzare festival!in germany rammstein played there thats so awesome weezer did to!i knew that it looked like it at first like the sun and camera people!!!!!!!!

  • 3:21 . . . ha ha ha!

Rivers does not have a perfect voice, but gets up their anyways . . . kudos!

  • They look like they didnt want to be there.

    -juliO!

  • The thing about Weezer is that they didn't give a shit what you thought. If you liked their music, go to their concert and buy their CD's, if you don't, then don't. They dress how they want and play how they want.

  • dude if you dont like em. then dont search it up.... and make gay comments about it..

  • just shows how much you know about weezer...shitwad

  • you are nothin in life...hater.

  • go kill your self..

  • Sounds like shot compared to their Reading performance in '02.

  • diff members in the band

  • Ha, I thought this was way better than their Reading Performance. This was my favorite concert they've ever had. Now I hate Rivers, red hair, glasses, he looks like a mess.

  • inyou want someone clean and flawless dressed the go listen to frank sinatra asshole

  • frank sinatra owns you dude.

  • what was dat at the end?!

  • Ah. Back when I actually liked the band. I think this is their best live performance.

  • I miss matt sharp, and the blue album, oh well.

  • Wow, a band who can actual do good vocals live.

  • amazing..the golden era...

  • looks hot

  • best song by weezer hands down.

  • Matt Sharp was the best bassist Weezer has ever had. Don't talk trash on him.

  • Hahaha. Shriner is actually a better bassist than both Sharp or Welsh...

  • Technically yes. But shriner doesn't have 1/10 of matt's charisma. Without Matt something is clearly missing, and the song isnt the same without his falsetto. Matt was 'the loosecannon' of the band who really completed their sound and performance. He was the spark of life and silliness in their music and his absence in both Rivers' attitude and songwriting as well as the bands sound and live performance is quite noticable. Matt and Rivers' just works.

  • karl!

  • Why is Matt a fag? Because he moves around on stage a little bit?

Matt Sharp Is Cool, see my name even says so.

  • really cool comment! :D nevertheless, Matt Sharp is cool, don't listen to what dumbasses say :) in fact, Weezer is one of THE best bands.. it's a shame that they are so underrated in Bulgaria :(

  • Rivers guitar looks like van halen styled LOL

  • stupids stop fighting about matt sharp!

    just listen to =w=

  • i think scott might be gay. i would never say that to his face though.

blue is best, pinkerton is almost as good as blue, green album is bad except for a few songs, maladroit and make believe suck.

  • he's married. and has been for 2 years.

  • karl cameo

  • brian is a little flat vocally on some performances like this... not so much on this one but moreso on others..... the songs still great

  • jesus christ, weezer, why don't you guys play like this anymore? this was a blood and guts performance, lots of feeling.

  • that dude at 4:04 is soooooooo german

  • I want brians guitar! and rivers shredding skills.

  • matts harmonies were vital to early weezer, and weezer lostit after pinkerton(a seriously underrated album)

  • Matt was such a fag...thank goodness he's gone...

  • Considering song quality since his departure, its obvious he held a valid spot in the band.

  • Not a valid argument. Rivers did the song writing and he did it as a totalitarian songwriter; Matt had nothing to do with the quality of Weezer. Not to mention, Rivers had to SHOW Matt how to play his bass parts on Pinkerton ;)

  • Matt was the lifeblood of the band

  • Hahaha, hardly. Matt was a ego maniac who had nothing to do with songwriting, songpicking or the creative process of Rivers' mind.

  • Doesnt' matter. He handled the falsetto harmony, which created the trademark Weezer vocal sound, and was a high energy performer. Without him, Weezer isn't the same.

  • Falsetto doesn't = quality. Considering his "ALL-Powerful" falsetto was only on about 2 songs on TBA, your argument again, proves nothing. Weezer's trademark was crunchy but clean power-pop guitars and fellas that could sing. Falsetto had nothing to do with the quality, and therefore Matt was very replaceable. Remember TGA? Oh yeah, and no one went to =w= shows to see Matt act the fool, they went to see Weezer perform flawless reditions of their hits.

  • Acctually my argument proves everything. His falsetto, combined with rivers voice, is the trademark Weezer vocal signature of the first two albums, sucker. The green album? It sucked, so enough said. And seeing an active performer on stage improves the show quality while listening to music. otherwise you could just listen to it on a stereo if you want flawless renditions.

  • Sorry, but falsetto vocals are NOT what Weezer is remembered for. Weezer was a group of "regular" geeks (ie The common man) who became rockstars because of crunchy but clean power-pop guitars, and catchy chorus'. "Buddy Holly" isn't a classic because of Falsetto; it's a classic because of it's catchy happy-go-lucky feel. TBA isn't a classic because of falsetto (or Matt for that matter) but because of it's stellar songwriting and undeniable catchiness.

  • And, I don't believe I remember much (if any) falsetto on Pinkerton. Pinkerton was a hit because of GREAT songwriting and GREAT songs...not because of Matt. Do I have to remind you that Rivers was a totalitarian at the time and excluded everyone's ideas that were contrary to his? He even shows Matt how to play his bass for the album, lol.

  • Do you have any proof that he showed him how to play the bass parts for Pinkerton? I'd be interested in seeing it.

  • I thought this was common knowledge. Read Rivers' Edge and it accounts that during the recording of Pinkerton, Rivers was a totalitarian and he oversaw everything that was being put into the album. This included Matt's bass playing as it was not satisfactory for Rivers, lol..

  • its cause it was supposed to be Rivers solo album, his space opera. you can expect someone to want perfection when it originally started out as just his...

  • SFTBH was not a Rivers' solo album; he intended for his band to play it...BUT, since Matt Sharp stole Rivers sound (ie Return of the Rentals), Rivers decided not to release SFTBH in fear that it would sound too much like RotR.

I know my Weezer history thank you very much...

  • get that from wikipedia?

  • No, I've been a fan since about '94 :)

  • i did like matt though...blue=amazing pinkerton=sweet the green album=bad maladroit=good make believe=ok

and scott shriner=sweet cause hes from toledo OHIO

  • Matt was alright at the time...But as time went along, he wasn't as important as people thought he was...

TBA - Great Pinkerton - GREAT TGA - Not terrible Maladroit - Eh Make Believe - Better than Maladroit, imo..

  • I like this raw version too, it has it's place.

  • this is a very bad performance. its obvious they dont want to be playing
