  • summoning are such a good band

  • @celticbattleaxe Tolkien used norse, christian and old finnish mythology to create the valar. And i think your right about the chaining of melkor but his story is generally based on Lucifer from the bible.

  • Hi Mr.Uploader!Im just very thankfull you,its a great music, and a good clip!Amazing!I hope you will never delete it.

  • At some point there is going to be Second Music after Morgoth discovers how to escape form the void. Earendil shall come down from the sky and meet with Manwe and Turin on plains of Valinor. All people of Middle-Earth shall unite under one banner including Ar-Pharazon, last king of Numenor who is actually not dead. Turin will kill Morgoth and thus avenge Children of Hurin and Feanor shall return from the Halls of Mandos and collect Silmarills and give them to Yavanna and new world will be made.

  • If they had remained Good, there would have been No Story.

  • Uh,...I always thought that it was spelled "Melko", not "Melkor" - at least that's what it says in The Lost Book of Tales 1.

  • @celticbattleaxe The book of Lost Tales was a collection of Tolkien's ideas and a rudimentary story that was later developed into the Silmarilion.

  • @scotsmanmemag Yep :). And I have the first book. The thing that confused me was spelling changes. Melko became Melkor, for example. But in the first book of Lost Tales, it was almost always spelled 'Melko'.

  • @MountainDewFan8472 that is interresting, btw i am still not sure about the haradrim men cause they are enemies with gondor, they might have wars with them in the 4th age that is my guess, but do you not know the movie :"The Hobbit" will come out in december, I can't wait for it, just at the moment when lotr is lost the hobbit is being released in a few mounths, that will definetly make lotr more popular again just like the old days

  • why the most interesting dark lords are in the Lord of the Rings ?

  • Now Melkor, the lord of Entropy, used to live in a hollowed-out mountain called Thangorodrim. That evil mountain recently rose again out of the sea, just south of Iceland. It's called SURTSEY now.

  • dark lord costumes look awesome compared to elves and men ,,except mabye rohan riders

  • Please somebody shows me a picture both of them,to know, whats the different between them

  • @ied86 Sauron's armour looks VERY similar to Melkor's as Sauron was a tad inspired by him :P

  • @xAristaicx Oh.......thanks,it's much better....

  • @ied86 MELKOR is at 1:29 to 1:44 on this Video, and SAURON is at at 3:00 to 3:14. they are both Fallen Angels, Demons. Melkor is Sauron's master. They both may no longer assume a material form on earth, but their evil influence persists (Hitler, etc.).

  • @54markl What the fuck? Do you believe they actually exist? Are you stupid? Also, they are not "fallen angels". Melkor is an Aunir and Sauron is a Maia, both turned to darkness.

  • @xRedStingx How do you know they don't exist? They're both based on Norse gods, so are you saying that Norse mythology is wrong? On what grounds?

And it makes sense to equate the two of them to fallen angels, especially when trying to explain things to someone unfamiliar with Tolkien's terms.

Oh and both Melkor and Sauron are Ainur, the difference is that Melkor is a VALA.

  • Comment removed

  • @xRedStingx People believe in all sorts of gods, why not the Norse ones? What makes them any less believable?

And Ainur refers to both the MAIAR and the VALAR. It means ALL of the beings that took part in the Ainulindale. Learn your mythology correctly then maybe you won't make a fool of yourself in future.

  • Comment removed

  • @xRedStingx I never said I believed in them. Belief in all things is irrational, because you can't prove or disprove it either way.

And you STILL don't understand. The Valar and the Maiar are ALL AINUR. They were ALL there before the beginning and they ALL helped to create the Music, the Valar are just more powerful and higher-ranking. They're all partial gods.

  • Comment removed

  • @xRedStingx Yes they did!!! I quote from the Index of Names: "MAIAR - Ainur of lesser degree than the Valar'

  • Comment removed

  • @xRedStingx No, the term Ainur is the collective noun for both the Maiar and the Valar, according to ANYONE with any decent understanding of Tolkien's mythos. Now stop being such a bigoted ignoramus and read the books properly next time. Thank you very much.

  • @undergroundalcoholsi Tolkien didnt only use Norse gods for his inspiration. he also used Greek, Slavic and Celtic pantheon and myths and legends.

  • @IgorPrototype90 Yeah I know, but from what I've read the Norse myths seem to have captivated him more. I've often come across things that seem very Celtic, such as the Barrow-wrights, the ghost-lights in the Dead Marshes. Even the way the Nazgul shriek reminds me of a Banshee. And I always thought Hobbits were like Leprechauns

  • @undergroundalcoholsi I definitely agree with that.The ghost-lights also seem like the Wil-'O-Wisps.

I've noticed that the Valar seem very much like the Gods of Norse mythology. The chaining of Melko is very similar to the binding of Loki.

  • @54markl Thanks so mutc, comrade.I wish tolkien has written more books about Ea,and a book, after the LOTR.

  • "and when the race of men comes crashing down, but it will not be this day..." Melkor would have never survived to see the days of the 4th age, Aragorn simply said that it wasn't going to be that day but one in the future, that was the past, thanks for the info but one more thing! doesn't there happen during the 4th age? like the men from south to rise against the Gondorians, i know that after aragorn his son is going to rise 60 years into the 4th age to the throne

  • Enraged, Sauron initiated a great war and conquered much of the land west of Anduin. This began the Dark Years. He overran Eregion, killed Celebrimbor, leader of the Elven-smiths, and seized the Seven and the Nine Rings of Power that had been previously forged with his assistance. The Three Rings, however, had been forged by Celebrimbor himself without Sauron's help. These rings were saved and remained in the hands of the Elves, specifically Gil-galad, Círdan, and Galadriel.

  • @PetrosIrma "Now listen here, you stupid sissy Elves!" said Sauron angrily. "I made this One Ring and that's it! This disobedience must stop! Throw down your weapons and come out with your hands up!" But the Elves ignored him, and drew off the Three Rings of Power in dismay and anger! "Whoa, d-dude!" exclaimed Gil-galad. "That old Mr. Sauron, he done pull a fast one! What we do now Galadriel?" "Here, catch! shouted Cirdan, throwing his Ring to Elrond. "I'm getting the Utumno out of here! Adios!"

  • However, Sauron did not bank on the Elves feeling his influence. When Sauron put on the One Ring, the Elves saw him for who he really was, removed their Rings, and did not use them for as long as Sauron retained the One Ring.

  • He then secretly forged the One Ring in the volcanic Mount Doom in Mordor. This "One Ring to rule them all" had the power to dominate the other Rings and enslave their wearers to Sauron's will. The Rings of Power were extremely potent, however; to create an instrument that could dominate even them, Sauron was forced to transfer a great part of his native power into it. Yet "while he wore it, his power on earth was actually enhanced".

  • @PetrosIrma "Ash nazg durbatuluk, " said Sauron. "and, ah, humpty dumpty dumpty dum! And in the darkness ...hmm ...krimpatul, yeah, cool!" Then he wrote all this down on both the inside and outside of the Golden Ring, the metal thereof he had drawn up from the very center of the Earth. "There!" said Sauron smugly. "LORD OF THE RINGS, Su-per Ge-nius! Now I'm going to kick a little Elvish ass, and I'm gonna screw up those dumb Numenoreans too! I will squash them into Stoors, yes I surely will!"

  • Sauron came to possess great knowledge of the physical substances of the world, forging, and all manner of craftsmanship emerging as "a great craftsman of the household of Aulë". Sauron would always retain the "scientific" knowledge he derived from the great Vala of Craft: "In his beginning he was of the Maiar of Aulë, and he remained mighty in the lore of that people." Sauron's original name was Mairon (the Admirable), but this name was changed to Sauron after he joined Melkor.

  • @PetrosIrma "Your talent is wasted, Mairon, being Aule's second fiddle!" said Melkor cajolingly. "You're destined for bigger things!" "Gee, you think!?" said the Maia, eating it up. "Sure, eh?" said Melkor smoothly. "I need an up-and-comer like you to work for me! Why, work for me and I'll let you rule, uh, Eriador! Yeah!" "Hmm," said Mairon (or SAURON) frowning. "I don't know. Seems kind of risky!" "I'll let you do that stupid Ring idea you're always yapping about, " said Melkor, smiling warmly

  • Melkor was the most powerful of the Ainur, but turned to darkness and became Morgoth, from whom all evil in the world of Middle-earth ultimately stems and the ultimate antagonist of Arda. Sauron, one of the Maiar of Aulë, betrayed his kind and became Morgoth's principal lieutenant.

  • @PetrosIrma Tom Bombadil threw open his cottage door to see Melkor standing there, dressed as a fuller brush man. "Say Tom, wanna work for me?" said Melkor smoothly. "I'll give you Sauron's job, he isn't working out!" Tom began hopping around in anger, and said: "You get outta here, stupid Morgoth Bauglir! You're scaring Goldberry, she has brushes a-plenty! We don't want any, show yourself out, please. Better get a move on, I'm calling Tulkas now!" "You have No Vision! shouted Melkor, running.

  • " Morgoth's chief servants were Maiar he corrupted or monsters he created: Sauron, later the Dark Lord of Mordor and his chief servant; the Balrogs, including Gothmog, the Lord of Balrogs and High-Captain of Angband; Glaurung, the Father of Dragons; Ancalagon "the Black", greatest of the Winged Dragons; Carcharoth, the mightiest wolf that ever lived; Draugluin, Sire of Werewolves; and Thuringwethil, Sauron's vampire messenger.

  • @PetrosIrma And then, and then! Aule, Orome and Tulkas tried to arrest Sauron at the Grey Havens, but Sauron turned into a centipede and crawled away laughing. ERU ILUVATAR shouted at Tulkas angrily: "Tulkas, so help me, Beleriand is already ruined because of your rough-housing with Morgoth! Look, it sank into the Sea! If you ruin Eriador as well .....!!! THAT'S IT, THAT'S REALLY IT! Eonwe, you bring them all home this instant! Fuck Sauron! Oh no, Ossiriand is almost ruined. Dag nabbit!"

  • @Sixtystone nothing ring is made only to made sauron stronger and only lord of darkness is melkor and already is most powerfull being alive so...nothing special maybe it would make him a bit stronger

  • ok ok why are people talking about sauron and melkor rising to destroy the world if you guys didnt notice the books were made from tolkeins imagination so there is no chance of that happening now as many others who have read the books and watched the movies i love the way middle earth looks and works and what happens i would honestly rather live there then this planet right now

  • melkor is best villan movies or books none is better cause he is evil he is fear he is everything that villan shoud be he is dark lord cause he created darkness while sauron is probably 2nd best villan cause he had his influance in every evil or actions that melkor did

  • this song kind of works with lord of the rings

  • This is by far the best video on all of Youtube, worldwide!

  • The two Best villains in the entire history of the human race! If they weren't so evil, I would love them!

  • Summoning RULE

  • The song name is Land Of The Dead from an austrian black metal band Summoning. Like it so everybody can see it.

  • does anyone know the title of that stunnin music?...

  • How was looking Melkor, before the Eart, when he was with Illuvatar?Without his mask, and corona.....

  • the picture at 1:18 is the picture of sauron, I know how his armor looks like

  • The guy at 2:16,he is Melkor?

  • damn, i i thought i knew terrible music.

  • name of the songs ??

  • whats morgoth ? and someone know what sauron actually are ?

  • @stosje45 Morgoth was the original great Enemy, the master of Sauron. Sauron is a Maia, a spirit who descended from the heavens when the Earth was formed. Originally he was a pupil of Aule but soon he was corrupted by Morgoth (aka Melkor).

  • @stosje45

Melkor (later known as Morgoth) was a Vala, one of the highest order of beings that created Middle Earth and Valinor in conjunction with Eru (the equivalent of God). An rough analogy would be Eru = God, Melkor = Satan, Manwe = Michael. Melkor rebelled, became evil etc etc. But prior to this Melkor and Manwe were of almost equal power.

Sauron was one of the most powerful of the next tier down of beings. He was a Maia. So was Gandalf (called Olorin in his non human form).

  • @stosje45 you should know this by know, morgoth is a valar, a god-like being serving eru illuvatar,(god) and sauron is a lesser god-like being that was seduced by melkor(morgoth into evil) Sauron and morgoth can take whatever form they want. Sauron was a ring for a long, long time.

  • Melkor was a pussy. He always ran away.

  • @canesrule96 not true, he answered the call to a duel with Fingolfin, didn't he?

  • @Vyna80 I guess he toughened up some, but my first impression of him when I read The Silmarillon was that he always ran from fights with the other Valar. Sure he'll fight a Noldor, but he always ran from Tulkas.

  • @canesrule96 yea, he did run from Tulkas. My comment was supposed to be half sarcastic lol

  • melkor was a god and sauron was like a jezus of melkor but when melkor was put in a enless void sauron took over and ruled in his name

  • @lardoization Sorry for replying to such an old comment.

Melkor was more like Satan or an evil angel. Sauron was his minion, his lieutenant.

  • Melkor might have been the most powerful, but there was this big F-ing spider thing named UNGOLIANT that pretty much killed him if it wasn't for a ass-load of Balrogs that saved his ass! look it up, it is in the Silmarillion..All Hail Ungoliant!

  • @BrainCreep

Melkor was weakened, and Ungoliant was made stronger by the terrain.

    So that does not count.

MELKOR is still the most powerfull.

  • Actually, Melkor is very weak considering he spent most of his power instilling his will into his servants. The other Valar were wise in that they conserved their abilities and power. Sauron instilled his power into the ring to preserve it so that he would not be become weakened like Melkor. As of the 4th age, the most powerful creature on Arda is Manwe, or perhaps Tom Bombadil. However, once Melkor breaks through the wall of night his powers will be restored.

  • @ulairix

Yes Melkors powers still belong to him, so he is still the strongest.

  • @LVCIVSDEI Hay, i have a question about his power. It is said that He lost some of his power when he created things, more like living beings. When those creatures died or were slayed, was that energy returned to melkor? or vanushed forever?

  • @slagnecro

I dont know, but it would make perfect sense to me.

  • @slagnecro Melkor cannot create life, only ruin existing life. The ability to create life exists in Eru alone, a power the Melkor deeply covets. Once he spread his powers into the world they stayed there, marring the very fabric of Arda, this will only be reversed when the final battle destroys the world and it is made anew.

  • What's the name of the Song?? :-)

  • With the title of this video i was fully expecting at least one friendly picture of Melkor and Sauron having a beer together.

    Thanks for disappointing me.

  • strange

  • sauron was of the maia of aule lord/god of minerals and smithin he learned from the best trickster around melkor so naturally he could trick anyone even ar-pharason{my seeee is broken} the golden of numenor a proud and greedy king.

  • Don't like the pic at 1:05, looks like a cheap b-movie monster imo

  • i think they are both JRR Tolkein's bitch hahahaha

  • I agree that Sauron was under Melkors command, but that doesn't make Sauron a bitch. He's still incredibly evil and powerful and deserves respect. He's like Darth Vader, who happens to be the emporers bitch but is also a more popular and well known character and deserves respect

  • @axlslash514 Melkor was the motherfucking evil lord, and yes sauron his bitch, sauron lose the fight to HUMANS(and elves, and dwarfs, eagles etc etc...)! Melkor fought all the army gods. for too long.

  • @MrSoulEatter ungoliant alone could have killed morgoth if it wasn't for the balrogs, morgoth at some point in middle earth was weaker then sauron,

  • @fedotiulian no :) maybe understand the whole thing and maybe read the thing with his other hand and the silmarils? LOL

  • @fedotiulian mate, i agree with you, i can't say no to facts, but, let's see Ungoliant was a hell of a spider that eat the 2 holy trees, this is an enemy that deserve respect, looking at the other hand... sauron was defeated by 2 hobbits. to defeat melkor it took an entire god's army.

  • @MrSoulEatter I have to disagree with you for a minute because to kill sauron 100% you had to destroy the ring created by his own powers but Melkor was arrested by the vallars and never been able to return, but when sauron attacked numenor and felt with it then was able to return back to whatever shape he wanted

  • @MrSoulEatter "sauron was defeated by 2 hobbits" Ever heard of Beren and Luthien?

  • @InfernumThe that was badass. if i remember right she sang to the darklord and put him to sleep while the guy took the stone... yeah at least was one of GREAT mans that ever lived on the middle earth, and a one of the GREAT elfs that ever lived... sauron fell for 2 hobbits!

  • @MrSoulEatter btw: Sauron hadn't recovered fully when thos two hobbits came along and they just threw a ring in a mountain they didn't have a personal fight or something.

  • @queenjeremythewicked yeah i know but he lost in the moment that he decided divide his power into the rings, if he was as powerfull as you imagine i think he wouldnt be alive at that time, he would be encaged with his master (sorry for the poor english)

  • @fedotiulian yet, that wont kill sauron... yes almost all of his power ended with the ring but he run away weak just a shadow of he were, yet, melkor is chained in the nothing, outside the world...because if they give him time, he'll rise again, but sauron will never be heard of again

  • @MrSoulEatter true sauron can never returne but he died many times, in numenor it was just one of them, that time when the ring was destroyed his armies all vvanished so if he was to return he wouldn't have no servants left, melkor however will never return in middle earth because he died, but in lotr they mentioned something of end of the world, wonder what they mean by that, do you know by any chance?

  • @fedotiulian I disagree in the point that they "died" they were locked away (melkor) or became just a shadow without anypower (sauron) and i know what you mean... "and the silmarillis will be lost and they will be only found when the world ends and be rebuilded." something like that... i'd say "ragnarok."

  • @MrSoulEatter do you think anyone will rise to destroy the world?? btw i took that from aragorn's speech in the black gate, he mentions something like this:"and when the race of men comes crashing down, but it will not be this day..." do you know more info, i take it that you already have the book, can you tell me some info cause i am still interested in the story of lotr after i used to watch the movie every year for 10 years,

  • @fedotiulian i dont think that someone will rise, in the silmarillion said that when the time comes, the world will end, and every soul will sing along all the gods to Eru ilúvatar, and this melody will create a perfect world. it dont mention another enemy, i think Eru ilúvatar himself, will destroy to rebuild in a better way...

  • @MrSoulEatter wow, thanks for the info

  • @fedotiulian he ment of dagor dagorath the last battle for arda when melkor(morgoth)devil in middle earth will crash the gates of darkness and come to arda again and will raise all orcs balrogs and dragons and start last battle for arda all alive will fight in taht battle and world will be destroyd turin(best warrior in arda ever) will kill melkor to avenge his familiy and then dwarves will help aule(valar)to rebuild world ;))

  • @fedotiulian aragorn was talking about the last battle for world when melkor lord of darkness will crash the gates of night were valars(gods)have putted him after they defeated him in batttle that destroyed half of middle earth in last battle all forces of darkness will face all of good and turin will kill morgoth(melkor) battle name is dagor dagorach i think ;))

  • @Wenix100 dagor dagorlad. all of melkors evils will return (orcs, trolls, balrogs, dragons, werewolves, vampires, SAURON)

  • @fedotiulian i think he just said that because nothing lasts forever

  • @fedotiulian well in the end of the world melkor and sauron should return for one last great war but tolkien died and never got to write about it..

  • @IgorPrototype90 He started to write it, but lost interest.

  • @IgorPrototype90 There was going to be this character called Gilthrang who warped fate some how. Tolkien stopped writing it because he thought it was too obvious Good was going to win.

  • @54markl i think he wrote that in that "endwar" turin (mormegil) will give the last blow against evil...

  • @fedotiulian That is not true. Why did Ungoliant became strong? Because Morgoth had given her to much power. And he's definetly not weaker than Sauron. The elves and men where a lot stronger back then and Shelob isn't quite as strong Ungoliant. He lost a lot of power because it went into his army. But he is the reason elves and men and all the rest are in this shit. And otherwise, Sauron would've just stayed with Aule. The book says that he was the strongest of the valar, but he alone could fear

  • @queenjeremythewicked "not weaker than Sauron"

yo have the book you might just read the part after he crafted the one ring which sauron became very strong, some times in 2nd age or 3rd age sauron had more power then morgoth, and of course shelob was weaker, he or she almost got killed by a halfling Sam, but about the elves and men i think the god hass awoke them after morgoth rose to be evil

  • @axlslash514 Read silmarillion. Sauron is powerfull indeed but he is still Melkor's bitch... As he would have been in front of many other heroes..

  • @axlslash514 He deserves respect. he was the greatest of mair. but wasnt evil in my oppinion, and still isnt "realy evil. Melkor is the only evil, and pulled sauron in to his darkness. all bad things sauron have done in LOTR is melkors work in my oppinion, he lives on true his evil power that is still in d world. if he was destroyd and not imprissoned the curse would break, and all would se clear again.

  • @tysswe1 thank you for the logical comment, I agree with you. It's nice to get a good comment, I get lots of rude ones

  • @tysswe1 And Melkor also wasn't evil in the beginning . He jsut had different ideas and made other " music" than the other valar and Illuvatar. Then afterwards, he began loathing everything and everyone

  • name of the song ?

  • Awful song.... Horrific...

  • whats the name of the song?

  • fuck Satan and Morgoth in the ass :D,Sauron forever!!

  • summoning :)

  • that´s why you need to stop discussing about this

  • Satan and Sauron the fallen angels

    Awsome vid....

  • I see Melkor as Satan and Sauron as his top demon.

  • @elgatito

    Melkor=Satan

    Sauron=Lucifer

After Melkor was chained in the void his will, thought and actions lived on in Sauron. That is how i see it. Melkor had no physical shape after Valars punishment but he lived trough Sauron. Sauron, nevertheless, was early on a shapeshifter and thus had rememblance to Satan even when Melkor was alive. But it was later on when he tried to fool the humans, after the forging of the ring, after the intervention by Erú he was thrown outside the paradise.

  • @MrDale29 lucifer is satan my friend.

  • .... stop discussing about this it´s made up.

  • @dalijkffplaggaslaan it can be just as real as the catholic bible if you want it to be

  • @dalijkffplaggaslaan It's not made up what are u fucking stupid

  • Melkor isthe best Valar. The only one that is better than him is Eru Iluvatar

  • @fabiofonv that's axiomatically false, the first page of the Valaquenta reads "The names of the Lords (Valar) in due order are: Manwë, Ulmo, Aulë, Oromë, Mandos, Lórien, and Tulkas; and the names of the Queens (Valier) are: Varda, Yavanna, Nienna, Vairë, Vána, and Nessa. Melkor is counted no longer among the Valar, and his name is not spoken upon Earth. Also, Eru isn't a Valar, because he'd need to be a Ainur, which he is not. I suggest you pick up a copy of the Silmarillion.

  • It is said Sauron is only faint shadow of Melkor. I think it says all XDDD but hell i want to see him in some movie XDDD that great army, "Host of Valinor" vs Melcor... It must have been EPIC xD

  • is the song by morgoth?

  • this is what would happen if starscream ever became the leader after megatron died

  • Melkor was Saurons master... HES COOL!

  • sauron is better

  • @djwestbrook36 Sauron was Melkor's bitch. Without Melkor, Sauron would be nothing.

  • @Gondaldin

He would be a strong maiar but not a corrupted one. He would be like Gandalf and Saruman.

  • @Gondaldin What are you talking about? After Melkor left, Sauron nearly destroyed the entirety of Middle Earth twice.

  • @EdikShepherd … with the Orcs and other terrible creatures that Melkor created and with the power Sauron inherited from Melkor.

  • @Gondaldin True, Melkor is a hundred fold stronger, but Sauron was still a force to be reckoned with. If I was Melkor's bitch, I'd have a hard time taking it as an insult seeing that he's one of the most powerful entities in existence, bested probably only by Eru.

  • @EdikShepherd I never meant to talk Sauron down (though it may have seemed that way), Sauron is one of my favorite villains, I just hate it when people say that Sauron is better than Melkor when they clearly don't know anything what they're talking about.

  • @Gondaldin ,

Given that Melkor is the next big thing to Manwe and under Eru, Sauron, as being one of the mightiest creatures deadliest pupil, is pretty bad ass himself.

  • @Gondaldin

Yes, he would. He would (most likely) been an maia of Aule.

  • @Gondaldin Sauron was a spirit so he was already without Morgoth, but he became evil and joined Melkor and he was better strategiest then Melkor but Melkor was more powerfull

  • @stalkerspredators better Strategist? Hell no, Morgoth was so good it forced the other Valar(basically gods in middle earth) to go to war against him because he destroyed all of the Kingdoms by the end of the First Age of the Sun. At best Sauron had Numenor the only noteworthy Kingdom in the Second Age because he got his ass beat by them and took them over through corruption then got idiotic and put most of his force in a ring.

  • @Umishiru Not the First Age of the Sun... The first of the ages before that.

  • @lothlorien1is1heaven Your talking about the War of the Powers, I am talking about the War of the Jewels where he pretty much destroyed and conquered Middle Earth by the end of the First Age of the Sun. The Valar helped after being begged by Earendil to help them out which resulted in the War of Wrath and Morgoth/Melkor's banishment from Middle Earth.

  • @Umishiru

Well, the fall over Numenor, however, draw out Ainur (the almighty god himself) to action, nothing Morgoth could achieve. So Sauron was in a way very cunning in his evilness.

  • @MrDale29 more cunning? You can argue it but Morgoth was able to lay waste to all of human and elf kingdoms with his cunning. Sauron? He got bested many times. He got bested by a whorish old corrupted hobbit.

  • @MrDale29

Didn´t say he was more or less cunning then Melkor. Obviously Melkor was of a higher order. But to speak of the fall of Numenor without mention the action of Eru himself is dishonest.

Sauron was Melkors lieutnant and betrusted Maia, so shall it be told.

  • @Gondaldin one moree thing, yes sauron would be a bitch without morgoth but not even near bitch without the one ring

  • @fedotiulian 1st of all Sauron created the one ring and put his own power in it not the other way around. Second if beign the number one underling of the second most powerful being in the universe makes you a bitch then sign me up! That much power is still awesome!!

  • @chris7453089 alright i have to admit it, during the war of the ring it happened that sauron was more powerful then morgoth, yes it is true, sauron has betrade the world of men to join morgoth, an age later sauron had almost taken over the world

  • @fedotiulian But the One Ring contains Sauron's own power. He was powerful enough to make the ring in the first place.

  • @Gondaldin It sort of works both ways.

  • @Gondaldin

Actually, he would be a normal maiar. But a powerful one at least. He might have even become an istari like Saruman and Galdalf. And what you said is like Saruman for Sauron.

  • @Gondaldin Without Melkor, Sauron would be nothing? No, as a result of Morgoth's corruption, Sauron IS nothing (well, not exactly nothing, since he is an immortal Anuir, but he really only exists as a shadow of a memory at this point). If it hadn't been for Melkor, Sauron would still be a Maiar of Aulë. Your statement is demonstrably fallacious and somewhat disturbing.

  • @Vyna80

Sauron was his second in command actually.

So sauron is still really really powerful, but nothing when compared to melkor.

  • @LVCIVSDEI what I meant was that Sauron wouldn't be evil if he hadn't been corrupted by Morgoth and he'd still be living the life of a Maiar of Aulë. But since he was corrupted and became evil, he was defeated at the end of the war of the ring and in now, as a direct result, nothing.

  • @Vyna80

He is not nothing, he just lost his power.

He will eventually get it back.

I mean when you are immortal time is not really an issue now is it?

  • @LVCIVSDEI If you're referring to the final battle, it's never stated whether Sauron will regain any of his old strength. It is stated, however, that with the destruction of the one ring all his native powers of a Maia were forever lost. He's not dead, of course, but since he's lost all his power and will never again be able to take any physical form, he's as good as dead. And time is an issue...he'll be powerless for all eternity, in fact, I'm sure he wishes he could die.

  • @Vyna80

    There is always a way!\

He has an eternity to try, and nothing to lose.

And he still possesses all his maia knowledge, and knowledge can be a powerful weapon.

Never underestimate a resourceful mind, especially if that mind belongs to a maia who is older than the planet itself.

  • @LVCIVSDEI well, if you classify knowledge as a "powerful weapon," you have to acknowledge that it is a power as well. Since he lost all his powers, I think it's safe to say he lost his knowledge too.

  • @Vyna80

No knowledge can simply be used as a weapon.

He just lost his psychical and magical powers.

He still has his knowledge, i mean he is still an angelic being, and not a regular mortal.

He could simply acquire new powers over time.

Even if it takes a whole new age, time is on his side.

  • @LVCIVSDEI I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one ;)

  • @Vyna80

Can we at least agree that there both awesome? :)

  • @LVCIVSDEI I'll agree that one of them *is* awesome and the other *was* awesome ;)

  • @Vyna80

    good one! :)

  • I think Melkor was the leader of the evil and then afterwards Sauron took over and created the one ring.

  • @fedotiulian sauron is a minion of morgoth.... morgoth was captured by the blue wizards those 2 wizards had the ultimate power to trap him forever so they wouldnt let go of morgoth... lol

  • @SwedishVids

What are you talking about. The two wizards (i suppose you speak about Alatar and Pallardo) hasn´t the authority to lick Morgoths boots let alone "capture him". By the time they operated Morgoth already was captured in t
