I haven't seen a way to make skirmishers from a line of men? How is this done? Granted I'm only in the campaign mode so far and playing out all battles.

@markawil You cant make line infantry become skirmishers but if you select some light infantry there's a button (light infantry behaviour... or something similar to that) which makes them spread out and use cover. It's really worth doing, they take a lot less casualties.

Is the AI in this game as bad as in Empire?

@obbabob I'd say it's greatly improved. But the game is "smaller" in the way that you mainly only play in one continent (Europe) but it has sooo many improvements in every detail (they corrected the colours of the ships to their specific nation for example) and has turns shortened to about two weeks.

But yes the AI won't go around doing stupid things as in Empire.

hi prince/anyone that can help i was wondering what kind of specs are needed to run this without lag and half decent graphics i have a acer aspire 5740 and its specs are; Intel Core i3 (2.13GHz/3MB/1066FSB/64-bit) CPU, 2GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Supermulti drive, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD (128MB), im not to sure if this will run it properly if not can you gie me some suggestions on what to buy? i have around 2000 to soend but anything uner 1000 wouol be great thanks please anyone reply

@freshpinpop If you have that much money that you are willing to spend I highly recommend you find a local pc shop and get a custom built pc. You can make it specifically for gaming. You can make a really decent mid range gaming pc for about 600 - 700 bucks or a high end one for about 1000. As far as running Napolean on your current pc... it would work but not very well at all :p

what i would have done is just COMPLEATLY rushed them have mabye 1 or 2 mortors set on the explosive shots and just rush them gain the other side of the stream and face them in the city and be a brave and bold man/general

You could have done it with much less casualties. Stay further from the river to stay out of their range, but closer to the passage, so you can devastate them when trying to cross. If they don't cross, keep shooting them with artillery, so eventually they will.

Let us take the United States for example it cost money for them to invade other countries that is why the US takes some of the oil supplies of other countries in order to pay for these expensive wars.
