  • Am I the only one who thinks that Brits have no idea how to make rifles and bullpup is uncomfortable system???

  • @camelpospisil i'll agree with the first bit, but anyone who says bullpups are uncomfortable has never held a p90.

  • @demonofrazgriz333 oh yeah right man I forgot...P90 is really good weapon, i was talking about L85, Famas and AUG

  • I still hold out hope for bullpup rifles. Yes even the L85. I just watched a Russian-American demonstrate the use of the gun. It's a bit better than the AUG and FAMAS. But not quite reaching potential. The gun needs a Picatinny and aluminum. Then is will be cool !

  • Those weapon drills were horrific.

  • if there were a bull pup m-4, this would be closest to it

  • Here's what I got from the video

Based on the AR series by Eugene Stoner and Enfield, it has an AR magazine and a bolt in the stock for a compact size. It is a high grade assault rifle with SUSAT sight.

  • Better than all AR15 varients, only the AK47 (cheap, reliable) and the XM8 (experimental super gun, based on G36 design) surpass the L85A2, and yes i have shot this weapon

  • Isn't it bad for the gun?

  • Why is he riding the bolt?

  • @KentGoSuzuki

    Because it looks sexy.

  • Please do not comment on videos like these if you believe you know everything about fire-arms from an idiotic game called " Call of Duty" or from that idiot FPSRussia.

  • it looks like a nice gun for a sunny boring sunday at a firing range

  • MY FAVORITE GUN AND PRODUCED ON MY FAVORITE YEAR 1985 WHAT MORE COULD I ASK FOR?

  • British beauty

  • @CommandoFin and a beast. remember it is made to kill.

  • Is is true that this is one of the heaviest and most expensive service assault rifles in use today?

  • this gun is good but its shit quality mag release has still problems and so on

  • But will it Blend? that is the question...

  • burupap taipua

  • Comment removed

  • im a cod player and i study guns. cod fucks up every gun. almost every gun.

  • im a british cadet and i use this on a weekly basis, as a lefty, i find it a thorn in my backside.

  • The Bullpup in Killing Floor looks like this one ^^

  • Man, I wish the US would switch to bullpup...

  • @TheEvilX338

    No, you don't wish.

It's a 1980s fad that's almost completed died out. The failures of the L85 have proven this.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun Have you ever used an L85?

  • @shiv595

I've operated several while at a local machine gun shoot out-of-state, it's not the most pleasant weapon to shoot.

Watch kiwitedferny's video on it. He more or less lists all of the contentions I have with the rifle.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun Can't find it. I personally am well acquainted to the L85A2, L86A2, L98A1 and L98A2 and I love them.

  • @shiv595

Doesn't the selective fire switch piss your off, or is it the right-side charging handle that gets your panties in a twist?

Let's face it; the Yanks do it better when it comes to assault rifles.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun Neither piss me off, as a regular user of the L85 A2. As part of the upgrade, the select fire switch was made slightly tougher to turn, so its is highly unlikely to change without you intentionally doing so. as for the charging handle, it is only ever used to ready the weapon for firing, and not reloads. The A2 cocking handle design is meant to be used witht the left hand and whilst slightly akward at first, it becomes second nature. final note, I prefer H&K weaps to yank ones

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun No it doesn't piss me off at all actually, I like the fact that the safety can be kept on while the firing mode is changed. I quite like the charging handle as well, and there's no call for being rude. I would not agree with your statement about "better assault rifles" as I think that is a too broad statement.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun Uhm what. Bullpup weapons make the weapon decreased in size and makes the user less fatigue when shooting

  • @firewurker

Weak subjective argument; bullpups are extremely awkward to operate and are typically unergonomic.

The fact is that the L85 is a piss-poor weapon. The SAS never took it into inventory for a damned good reason

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun Indeed the L85A1 was piss-poor and the army, and press, gave it a bad name. However the A2 upgrade has turned an unreliable and akward weapon into something truley useful. The A2's reliablilty is top notch, even in sandy conditions which is where the A1 failed so badly, and it has been rated one of the most accurate assault rifles in the world, and as a regular user, I am inclined to agree. The A1 was utter crap, the A2 is one of the best assault rifles in the world today.

  • @TheEvilX338 never.

  • They should make an AK with a mag that reloads from the back. It wouldnt change much but it would be good to expirement.

  • @xXCrimsonArtsXx

They've done that decades ago as a kit you can put your AK receiver into, and Century Arms sells them with the rifle pre-installed. From what I've heard the compact size is offset by being really junky and having a terrible trigger pull. I'd rather just by an FS2000 and know that I'm getting a quality bullpup instead of something slapped together as cheap as possible.

  • @chitoryu12

    Thanks for the info!

Do you know the exact name?

Im making some concept art for that type of desing.

  • @xXCrimsonArtsXx

It's just the Century Arms AK Bullpup.

  • @chitoryu12

    Thanks!

  • wtf with the porn music and asian voice?

  • I think the origional EM-2 was better.

  • Enfield!

  • @Marcohazard You my friend are a total cod nerd

  • such an ugly riflel

  • @annoyingDrDie L85 and FAMAS aren't pretty at first glance, but are beautiful in action.

  • there made it look so sexy during the firing

  • Its gotta be a good rifle with british design and german upgrading. The british can make great accurate firearms but they need german skills in engineering to make it durable and reliable. Ive fired an ar15 and would prefer an l85 any day.

  • don't these guys know that these gun can fire in other modes than full auto

  • @yurik19881 so?

  • @yurik19881 The video is less than 2 minutes long, and people generally like to watch full auto over semi auto. Don't you realize that?

  • @csmybuttt yeah but I like to see how a rife can really shoot you how accurate it can be

  • I wonder why the US doesn't use any bullpup rifles? Oh and what is the XM-8? Is it the AR with the top similar to the French FAMAS?

  • @AsianDomination911 x-m8 is a futuristic g36 assault rifle. it is good, but the plastics cant take the heat ersio. thats why they're gonna take the hk 416 or the m6 knights armements rifle, very similar to m4/m16 series

  • @AsianDomination911 no they dont use any bullup rifle and the xm-8 is basically a redesigned g-36 adapted for the needs of the US military

  • "Burupap" design is awesome XD

  • Wonder how many views this video will get when cod fanboys relize that the``Enfield`` rifle from black ops is a prototype of the l85a1

  • @robwtsn106 Dont want to piss on your parade fella but the SA80 (L85 A1) DID NOT have a leaky gas system. I suspect that if your 'friends had problems with the gas parts they should have cleaned the buggers properly. The SA80 is a much more reliable weapon than the SLR, you'd get at least one stoppage every couple of mags with the SLR. . I'd suggest you put in some time with both weapons then make an informed decision. I was a Brit weapons instructor with 22 years service. ;-)

  • Actually despite the common perception that the loathing for the original L85 came about because of failures to eject, it was actually more to do with the magazines and the feeding system. The Germans mainly added a more controlled feeding and ejection system coupled with a far more reliable, anti-tilt follower for the magazine and the problems disappeared overnight.

  • @SporadicallySane Hello mate, I agree the magazines were the main problem that did cause stoppages, especially when using M16 magazines. The Royal Ordnance ones werent much better but caused fewer stoppages. Also it was a pain in the arse until the magazine release catch got a shroud put over it, if you wore chest rigs quite often it would dump the mag. I would still prefer to use a L85 A1 over the SLR though, the SLR was a good spear and club but was more prone to stoppages than the L85 A1.

  • DUST COVER

  • I am really looking forward to firing one of these (the L98A2 identical but for a full auto setting) at Cadets. :)

  • @0110Mikey Those are great, but trust someone who's been there and try to get yourself put on an LSW course to fire full-auto!

  • arghh i hate bullpup guns

  • @pickledasa

    why?

  • @Helghast470 because it is uncomfortable

  • Gun Porn....

  • a test for all the noob call of duty players that are watching this video what means A.C.O.G and S.U.S.A.T

  • @kunven It means you're a retard.

  • @csmybuttt shut up troll and go play you cock of doody game

  • @kunven Then why are you the one quizzing "all the noob call of duty players" that are supposedly watching this video, according to you?

  • @kunven

    Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight

    And

    Sight Unit Small Arms Trilux

  • @kunven Advance Combat Optical Gunsight, Small Unit Arms Trilux.

  • @kunven I'm not sure about S.U.S.A.T. but A.C.O.G. stands for Advance Combat Optical Gunsight.

  • @kunven Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight and Sight Unit Small Arms, Trilux

  • @kunven Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight and Sight Unit Small Arms, Trilux

  • @kunven ACOG= Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight, SUSAT= Sight Unit Small Arms Trilux

    Problem with that?

  • @kunven i dont what the mean but im 14 and im not here cause of Call of Duty at all...i just like this gun and ive know about it before it was ever in CoD :)

  • @kunven

People complaining about people playing CoD are equally as annoying.

  • Disgusting to see noobs from black Ops arguing which gun is the best on a fucking video game , get a life loosers and fire a real weapon for a change . Wimps.

  • the trigger looks like a boot lol but still eugin stoners ar 15 ( m4 ) or any of his designs are brilliant perfecto

  • @peoplehunter16 they really aren't example typre in M4 VS HK416.

  • HE FUCKING COCKED THE WEAPON WRONG! VERY FUCKING WRONG!

  • @shiv595 He obviously didnt pass his WHT mate or ever was trained by a British Army weapons intructor ;-)

Im surprised he didnt get a stoppage.... his drills are horrendous.

  • @sneakysniper007 Yeah, and some of it was kinda general firearms ignorance.

  • @sneakysniper007 The only thing he did wrong was ride the bolt when he was cocking it.

  • @esh325 You are joking mate... loads of faults, most horrendous one there was the fact he made ready with the safety catch off!!!. The drill to load and make ready is, check safety catch, insert mag, check mag fitted ok. On the command make ready the drill is safety catch, change lever, check mag, check SUSAT at 300, cock the weapon with left hand, physically foward assist the bolt to ensure its fully home, weapon held in the alert position. His drills were shite.

  • @sneakysniper007 Why does it matter if he did it with the safety catch? I load my rifles all the time without the safety on. Keep your finger off the trigger and you'll have no problems. A good slap into the magazine well is sufficent.

  • @esh325 Scarey thought. Slapping a mag in the A1 version of the L85 is a good way to cause a stoppage from bent lips on the mag. Having the safety off like he does and riding the bolt is an excellent way to have a ND, also with the rifle on auto you potentially have a runaway weapon if the sears dont fully engage. I take it you've never used this rifle or were trained by a professional UK forces instructor... by any chance are you American??

  • @sneakysniper007 And of course every ND is a fine of £1500.... quite a lot!

  • Unfortunately, the LSW was used as a SAW. Which has now been corrected, so it is being used as a DMR. Happy face.

  • @shiv595 It can actually do both, the thicker barrel on the LSW makes sustained fire less damaging on the barrel and it also gives increased accuracy for use in DMR role as well.

  • @SniperAngle12 CAN, not SHOULD. Anyway, it's the length that in this case helps the accuracy.

  • @shiv595 If you had something that has 2 functions, would you buy another one that has the same function?

  • @SniperAngle12 That's not a good analogy I'm afraid. My point was simply that the L86 works very well as a DMR, and that there are much better choices for a SAW, such as a weapon capable of using a magazine with a capacity of more than 30 rounds.

  • @shiv595 There are mags that you can put on this that has at least 50 ammunition. Such as the C-mags for M16 family of rifles. It can be loaded into any STANAG compatible weapon such as the L86 itself. The AUG-HBAR also doesn't have much capacity at 42 rounds. But the Austrian army still uses it in the SAW role. Among some of their other belt-fed weapons.

  • @SniperAngle12 Yes, this weapon CAN take any STANAG magazine, but the British Army don't for simplicity. The Beta C-mag would be a bitch to use on a bullpup, and 42 rounds is not sufficient. What's wrong with a Minimi?

  • Interesting comments here, most by people who dont know wtf they're talking about. The SA80A2 aka L85 A2 is a superbly reliabe weapon. As for the SLR (FN FAL) being better what a load of crap. You got fair more stoppages on the SLR.i HAVE USED BOTH and was a small arms instuctor. I beg to differ on some of the other experts on here too, because the SAS do sometimes use this weapon, I have worked with the secret squirrels and have seen them using this weapon (on ops aswell not just exercise).

  • @sneakysniper007 They mainly use the C8 though, right?

  • @robwtsn106 ex military friends? your 15 mate.

  • @collieoVTEC you can have freinds who are ex military at anyage eg your dad or nieghbour

  • i want the original soundtrack to these videos

  • Actually the enfield in black ops isn't tge em-2 it looks closer to the XL64 protitype of the l86

  • Mw2 Fanboy: it's L86 LSW!

    BO Fanboy: Enfield!

which one is correct, and what's the actual name of enfield?

  • @Marcohazard Neither the l86 is a heavy barrel version of the l85, the enfield em2 was a prototype in the 50's.

  • @Marcohazard no of them are correct, its the enfield weapon system (EWS)

  • no flash??? niiiice

  • I got turned on :I

  • HAHA he says horny 0:21

  • Seems like a pain in the ass to change magazines.

  • Not trying to sound nerdy or anything, just trying to get a clear point of reference: Is this the Enfield from Call of Duty: Black Ops?

  • @SuperPancakeNinja NO

the enfield in black ops was the EM-2 prototype

This was the assault rifle config. of the l86

stop making references to call of duty

  • @uckersas Did you read the whole comment? I was just trying to understand what exactly the gun is. Just because I play CoD doesn't mean I can't be interested in guns. Sheesh.

  • is this the gun in killzone?

  • @ExMarKaSpoT Sorry but no :)

  • lol this is the Enfield but the newer version

  • @bentheweirdo Fuck off. "Enfield". Go wank in a corner you kid.

  • @ps3pitos wtf did i say to make you pissed off like that, i just said it was the Enfield from Black Ops

  • @bentheweirdo because you're a little addict who ruins videos with your gay little comments, and the worst of it all, you don't even know what the fuck you're talking about

  • @ps3pitos calm the fuck down man, your going to freakout just because i said enfield wow, that makes you a little freaking too serious, just watch the video and ignore what happened

  • probobaly the worst rifle ever made

  • im suprised it hasnt jammed.............

  • @salomonST60 Its probably the MKII version.

  • @ekici123 nar, its not, the "A2" has been internally modified by Heckler and Koch, and there is a new cocking handle, and the mag release catch has a guard on it, with the A1s soldiers would run along and bash the rifle aggainst say a mag pouch and the mag in the gun would fall out cos the catch is protected! haha

  • he rode the bolt and hit the bottom of the magazine on an A1 - how the fuck did it not jam?

  • @ZipLineCreations "The touch of the German hand".

  • l85a1= one of the worst assault rifles aver made.

l85a2= one of the best assault rifles ever made.

the touch of the german hand

  • @curseofa5r5a So true! German Guns are by FAR the best in the world. H&K, Mauser, Walther, and many more!

  • @ps3pitos totally agree, those guys are the best at doing... just every thing good guns, good cars, good tech, just the bestand believe me i work with autoparts and nothing outperforms "made in germany".

  • @ps3pitos By number of countries using, Russians have them beat. By quality COMBINED with value, I think Belgium has them beat.

  • @PaleHorseWC2 Yeah, Because of the AK and all its variants, and true Belgium has the P90, FN FAL, FN SCAR, But Germany also has the G3 Series, the U Series (UMP, USP etc), the XM8 (One of the best Assault Rifles in the world) and also all the WW2 guns... MERRY CHRISTMAS :)

  • @ps3pitos XM8 overheats easy. That's why it failed in America's test facilities. And the reason they chose to adopt the FN Scar variants were because it was proven that its performance is above the M4 and the Masada. I don't know where did the Fn Scar fact come from lol xD

  • @ekici123 Yeah the masada has a really bad stability and handling, in my opinion. And also, a new XM8-type rifle will be released in 2014 or so

  • @ps3pitos Hmmm... That would be interesting. Looking forward to it :)

  • @curseofa5r5a British design,German upgrades...nothing makes a better rifle when it involves teamwork...

  • @peace36660 well its a brtsh design using an american action (ar 18) that failed and was upgrated by german enginers to create a very aporpiated rifle, so yes i think it was kinda team work, but the first members whent as afective at work as the germans.

  • @curseofa5r5a naaaa the a2 version also got alot of problems but its much better then the a1 and i would say the best bullpup rifle inte the world :)

  • @dopefish93 i wont be so sure, in my concern the AUG is superior, its lgither, more versatile, modular and movile, any way the accuracy of the l85a2 its outstanding for a bull up rifle, i think its only overperformed in the assault rifle universe by the sig 550 (well and why not some cuztomized versions of the AR 15 plataform most of them civilian procedence) any way teh l85a2 its a decent rifle specially for afganistan, when you need good accuracy and ballistic performance over 300mts

  • @curseofa5r5a

    Imagine if it was Belgium

  • @MrScaryplayer i would be an impresive weapon

  • @curseofa5r5a

I'm not sure about that, H&K are British owned, with British engineers. Though I might be wrong.

  • @Gooner018 Heckler and Koch is a German company, not British.

  • @csmybuttt Yup but owned by British Aerospace ;)

  • @sneakysniper007 hmm, interesting.

  • @curseofa5r5a agreed

  • @curseofa5r5a Well, the L85A2 is a corrected versión of the L85A1, corrected and very well enhanced by Heckler & Koch. Anyways, I preffer the L85A2 too, I prefer a weapon with an optimal performance.

  • @AssassinKid0 is well know that the l85a2 is far superior to the l85a1

  • @AssassinKid0 Also, watch the ejection sequence. See how the shells only go an inch-3 inches at the most out of the old 'A1' bolt/charging handle assembly? They upgraded the A2 bolt into ALL the A1's because once in awhile a shell wold get re-caught by the bolt and get shoved back into the corner of the ejection port and lock it up, making the operator have to pull the charging handle to dump the shell out.

The A2 bolt has the huge ass charging handle and better ejectors to prevent that

  • @laffyta2 WOA!! and that gun also uses a grenade launcher different: the AG36 for the G36 assault rifle, instead of the M203 (is right the name or am I wrong?). The surprises continues!!!!!

  • @AssassinKid0 It's simply known as the SA-80a 40mm launcher. (for the Enfield)

And yes, the H&K G-36 series (All of them, 'C', 'K', 'E', excluding the MG-36E) uses the Bundesewr made AG-36a GL 40mm launcher.

    Anything else you wanna know?

  • @laffyta2 My respect for u, dude...^.^

  • @AssassinKid0 You're welcome lol

  • @curseofa5r5a You're comment means that the same rifle sucks and is the best rifle ever made.

Bro, go look up the history of the L-85 (SA-80 I.W. Individual Weapon) Enfield and you'll learn that the A1 and A2 have no difference except that the Royal Army created the A2 overhaul kits and H&K took every single rifle in the British armory and fully refitted them to be L-85A2's.

so, in essence, the L-85A1 or SA-80A1 IS the best rifle for the British. Not ever made

  • Haha he says Bullpup as "Burrupap" XD

Anyways, Schweet gun, used it once myself, and have to say if my second favourite (After the G3A3, of course)

  • @ps3pitos What a venerable rifle the G3 is. You've got taste =)

  • @KaosuKaiari Thanks! National Rifle of the Hellenic Army :)

  • lol burrupup style

  • The TAR 21's British cousin :D

  • @RevitalizedVessel tar-21 and the l85 are nothing alike

  • @88pie88 other than ballpup design thats why i went with "cousin" not brother, since they share the same ballpup concept. its not too related but similar to an extent

  • @RevitalizedVessel yes i agree

  • They Steyr Aug's worst enemy

  • Dear Santa......

  • @Pill88Dickle You learn to shoot it right handed or you get a face full of casings.

  • Enfield?

  • Is it me or does this gun closely resemble the SA80?

  • @Chinkygamer Well SA80 means Small Arms for the 1980s, the L85A1 rifle is a variant of SA80 family. The British use the more up to date variant, the L85A2 and L86 LSW.

  • every time when the slow-mo comes i was like oh christ NO!

  • I dont really like the SUSAT scope on the L85 mostly because it just shows one arrow on the bottom and thats your only targeting system

  • The First Version of the L85 was declared unreliable and was almost canceled, but i think germany helped them with the problem, correct me if im wrong

  • @KookiePuffz Heckler & Kock were emplioyed by the MoD to redesign pretty much the entire inner workings of the weapon. And they pulled it off. The A2 is a fantastic piece of kit.

  • AAAAAAHHHHHH who cares its a gun and they both get the job done
