I have this phone and i like it and all, had it for at least 5 months i think.But what i hate is the background, no matter what home screen i put,the words always fuck up the picture and cover the picture. And when i want to uplaod music videos to my memory, or my separate SD card, they won't play. Other than that i like it. Just wish you could download new stuff for it, like new skins for Windows media, and new different type of home screens because they are all awful

are you able to cycle the IP using the computer that its tethered to? Or do you have to manually turn the phone off to get a new IP address? ;)

I saw that you had a droid also. you can see it at 1:30 vide time. My question is... i have a droid 1 flashed and rooted to metro PCS. however i cant get it to work as an internet moden for my laptop... could you PLEASE!!! tell me how can i work the magic?

I do have some programs to make this happen like wireless tether for rooted users. that program for example does send a signal but even though the comp tells me its a good signal its not. Pls help Android rooted 2.0.1 and superuser

Awesome Video, I'm about ready to pay the $250 to by a Code phone, but I was told that Metro PCS has disabled this feature in their Samsung Code phone. Is there an app I can download or a hack to enable this feature again?

And at the Metro price on just $40 a month, wouldn't they know if a user was tethering to their phone and cut off their service? Thanks again for the amazing video. learned a lot.

@XxM1dn1GhTxX I tried that too! Apple has blocked the iPod Bluetooth to only be for Audio. You can't connect to a PC Mac with Bluetooth on an iPod. If the Code had WiFi maybe we could make it into a hotspot for the iPod or iPad. But the Code doesn't have WiFi either.

if you didnt use bluetooth you could go a bit faster because bluetooth it self especially those mini adapters are lagging it more than it already is.

click on thatphonefreak for his blog. at first it didnt work for me cause I didnt reset the phone after each install of the 3 files, but second time around I unistalled everything and installed each file while restarting the phone after each install and it work. connection is ok but def works =)

@sasuke14105 The Samsung Flight SGH-A797 (which I think is on AT&T) is not a smart phone nor is it Windows Mobile which is what these ICS or Internet Connection Sharing instructions are specific to. That said you should have some other way to tether that phone.

@MrCEAM 4g sucks with them... 1mb/sec on the new indulge when I tested it in my store. On the Jacksonville network with no LTE I get downloads of 20kb/sec and uploads of 1.4mb/sec... The LTE I got 1.1mb down and 200kb up. THAT's NOT 4G speeds

4G actually, second half of 2010 it will be using Ericson as its network (LTE 4G) and Samsung as its primary handheld device to support the network. The SCH-i220 "Code" being first in line with the Samsung Caliber being second... 4G can do upto 25 Mgbps i think... i saw it in a youtube video... let me go find the link

No, the Bluetooth USB adapter is optional if you want to tether via Bluetooth and you don't have Bluetooth on your laptop. You can still go old school and tether through the included USB cord.
