I like this version. The Savior showed what I felt was the right amount of anger unlike the scene from the 2000 version, but more like the 1970s film. I also liked that this was shot in pretty much my own backyard.
I really don't understand this desire of showing that there were whores and drug dealers in the temple. I mean, it was creative back in 1978, but it is a little over the top and really stereotypical nowadays.
The reason Jesus said "you have made it a den of thieves," is because the temple moneychangers would charge an unfair exchange amount for the special Temple currency . The prostitution implication is totally Biblically inaccurate. It did not happen, and it should not have been portrayed as such.
he does this really well whoever he is, most people don't see the difference between a harsh angry Jesus and the Lord's grief and anguish, broken heart, weeping for the sins of His people..
Is this the same Deena as in the show?? If so, congrats on the wedding! Rebecca and I were visting in PC a few weeks ago and heard the news. Glad you like vids! Take care!
oh wow! that was fantastic, hitting those notes and everything. I wish we could have done the Temple scene in our production but there's no way our Jesus could handle it.
Yeah - I'll have to post it sometime later this week....sorry! But please take a look at all of the other videos I have online....and dont forget to rate the vids!

the song felt a little slow but the dancing, singing, and staging was excellent!! kudos to the girls dancing in the high heels!!

It's not like this song is too slow. I think it's as intended by the composer. The 1973 version sped it up a little. :)

it's a modern interpretation, and they have perverted the use of the temple

Poll dancers AND Jesus? What more could one ask for?
Seriously, though, this is a KILLER production! I wish I could've seen it live.
