Honda is the only way to go! Very nice bike! That is the only bike that has beat me so far. I have a 06 cbr1000 I Have beat a number of times my friends ZX14 and 09 R1 in the 1/4 mile and anything that has ever come up to me. The Repsol beat me but not by much and the rider was 140 pounds and I'm 195 so I'm hoping that's what did it,LOL

@omsigbug You have no clue what you are talking about. Ease of maintenance, build quality, intuitiveness, and ease of use are all the CBR's strongest points. Honda is known for quality. Yamaha is definitely NOT!!! I've owned both too. What do I have now, a cbr, because they are better bikes. My first CBR had 50k miles and running strong when I sold it.

I dont know if i should get a 07 r6 or a 2006 1000rr, since there both literally the SAME PRICE. I actually want to get the 1k but im scared that i wont learn to be a good rider. What would you suggest? Should i get the r6 or the 1k? I have ridden 1ks before, and I know that they DEMAND respect or else! Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Great Bike Dude!! I just picked one up and I love it! I had 600's for years and finally wanted to upgrade to a Litre. I love not having to shift all day long, the 1000rr was the best choice for me it is just to bad I didnt do it a lot sooner. This is the best all around and best street bike money can buy. People that say they out grew a 600 in a year never learned to ride.

600s are a good place to start with sport bikes, but 1,000s are better, like joshb202007 says, if you've got the balls to use the 175bhp in a 1,000cc bike, then no 600 will keep up, if you darent use that power, then a CBR600 is good with 110bhp, though, personally, I like Benelli Tornado 1130s

Yes. Just caus its got the power of a 1000 doesnt mean you have to bury the throttle when you start off. Just cruise around and get used to it. It really beats getting a 600cc and having to sell it in 6 months to a year because your ready for more power.

I dnt know how much you know about bikes but your comparing an08 to an09. And you can't get a 09 cbr 1000 for less than 11k in the U S. Also in 08 they didn't make a repsol edition but nice try. Try to fool someone that knows nothing about bikes

Yea i may not know as much about bikes as you, but I suggest you take a look at honda or your local honda dealer because i know that i saw 09's for less than 11k, so either its just where i'm staying in memphis or either your just not paying attention. Also you need to search for the 08 repsol edition and you may change the tune, just give it a search. Oh and once you find out, no need to say sorry its ok :)

Yes to my opinion the CBR 2009 looks like the RC211V which is for me one of the best looking bike.

Very comfortable and pleasant, about 8000/9000 km done in 2 month...
