  • Arent you scared to flip a horse over when you have a stock saddle??? I did it with a three year old...hernia and concussion!

  • @hyperfocus2011 she doesnt pull on the reins when it rears so it cant come on top :)

  • "She understands completely that she's being a little... tart" LOL!

  • Lovely rider. Soft still hands and balanced seat. :)

  • i am shocked that you would not have your fantastic wife wear a hard hat.

  • she is an amazing rider.

  • Well Its been 6 months since we first met & she is coming along very nicely now. Considering she wouldn't even take a bit in her mouth when I first got her, I think she is doing very well and is always trying her very best to please me. Thanks for the advice all:)

  • Leila - have you checked your horse's teeth? Maybe something is bothering her there so she refuses going on the bit? Remember there's always a reason to a horse's "bad" behaviour - usually pain. And since they don't speak your language they use other ways to tell you. Mr HP's videos here are living proof of that. Remember to warm up your young mares in a forward/out stretch where you ask them to relax their jaws and position their heads with your reins. Then continue with a loopy rein.

  • AHHHHH Gone with the Wind lives through your video! I LOVE it. My horse is 11 and still acts this way. :D

    Gone with the Wind forever!

  • Thank you for this video. this is what my ride looks like every day! my mares are 5 & 7 years old and the only difference in mine to yours is mine WILL NOT GO ON THE BIT....fights it all way. they are so bad behaved.

  • They are rarely, if ever, badly behaved lellaminette. We are always the reason and the more trained we become, the less bad our horses become :)

  • @leilaminette Not going on the bit is not badly behaved! You need to work on your schooling! If your 5 & 7 yr old behave like the video then you're definately doing something wrong. Sorry, but youngsters and horses in general aren't badly behaved Leilaminette. Bad behaviour IMO in most cases comes purely from bad riding or a sore horse!

  • @Storm288 You are spot on Madam however in this case, it was one of the rare one's where some measure of assertiveness was required as she was indeed being a Brat. Spoilt lot's and nothing wrong with her whatsoever. She went on after this Day to a very successful Career with heer Owners and wins ribbons at the shows. Filmed here, she was just Green, having just been broken in but due to her over confidence, decided to say no. Regards
