There was no "beam" The bluish portion can clearly be seen to be a spiral vapor trail coming up from the ground. Hoagland should be ashamed of himself.

It is a rocket/missile exhaust trail. Its exact composition is unknown to me. I doubt it is plasma. It has no meaning other than it is a failed military test. It has no other significance. People need to understand that.

That's complete nonsense, rocket exhaust don't glow or fluoresce.

Rocket exhaust is a condensation trail that is white or gray(if a lot of H2O is present).

That rocket explanation has no meaning whatsoever. You need to understand that you are being deceived, the rocket explanation is a LIE.

The only thing that glows like that is the Aurora Borealis, which is a diffuse translucent plasma of gases in the atmosphere being bombarment with protons from the Solar Wind.

I think the spiral formation is a glowing plasma of ionize Nitrogen gas(blue color) circulating in a magnatic field.

It might be a Wormhole or a Hyperspace window being open .

The "smaller spiral" is not a "beam" it is a smoke/vapor trail which comes up from the ground (launch point) and goes UP into the night sky. I'm sorry this is so perplexing to so many. I realize why though. Insulting folks will really get you no where and doesn't help your argument.
