I see the karambite is out of stock on Max Venom. When will more be available? Also, do you think this would be the best knife to carry around if self-defense is a concern? Meaning: if you live in a fucked up area where you think there might be a chance of some dumbass fucking with you.

@jorgekluney - I would never use any weapon in the case of "some dumbass" fucking with me. The Karambite is designed for concealability, retainability and to deliver devastating wounds to an adversary bent on... murder. "The best" is not a particular word combination that I like to throw around. The Karambite is however a highly effective tool for the purpose of self defense. Nice demo. As for the guy who counted on a rack of ribs wrapped in leather I can say you are correct If you want to make a legit for a combat tool like a bayonet. However the law limits us so fucking drastically. It is usually illegal to carry most blades. Legally, anything you posses, depending on usage can be a weapon. Yes, the blade is small but a slash delivered with the weight of a full grown man's punch is great. I'd buy four. Two for home and two edc. Two for EDC is one for each flank of

@pooop445 A Karambit cannot penetrate the chest cavity. It sems these days people forget that we have something called a RIB CAGE. A plastic milk jug filled with water or jello is not a legitamite test to compare to human tissue. You want a realistic test of an attack to the chest? Buy a rack of ribs, cover it with moist leather, and last but not least wrap it all up in a shirt (most people where clothing too). Either way, LETHAL damage with a Karambit is by attacking the abdomen or neck.

Concealability counts in spades. Are you going to have your big bladed karambit on you when you need it? Where are you gonna carry a "real" karambit & keep it a secret day in, day out? I'll take an icepick over a bowie, as long as I have it when I need it. "Real" is as real does, and those "wounds" look pretty fuggin' real to me, no CG or editing magic there.
