  • ddrum is like IKEA but the opposite- you buy it whole and it falls apart at home

  • @AmitKanfi Not really.

  • @punk9999643 happened to me and to 5 other people that i know. to me it happened within 5 months.

idk, maybe they ship defects and b types to israel..

  • @AmitKanfi That's a shame and sucks to hear that. I've had my ddrum set for almost 2 years and only had one minor problem that got fixed for free, and in a matter of minutes.

  • @punk9999643 i really wish that was the case here, because the sets look and sound very good

  • is this a good replacement to the starcalssic if you cant afford it?

  • This guy has some serious chops

  • I play a ddrum dios full bubinga kit. Now for you homers all stuck on your Tama's and DW's you all are a bunch of ignorant snobs. Ddrum sources their bubinga shells from KELLER, the same shell manufacturer that supplies GMS and dozens of other botique custom shops including DW before they started making their own. The hardware is top notch also. All you did was prove that you're willing to spend double on a badge and a logo head.

  • @rsxdaddy Hey man I totally agree with you, It's like by having a DW they become part of the elite group of something, But anyways, I have been looking to upgrade and invest on a good drum kit. Q: do you own this set or something similar, It seems to me that this set is very reasonable, sounds very nice and easy on the eye, I guess I like to know what you think of this set any help would be very appreciated, Thanks.

  • Nice sound

  • i checked the price for this and it is REALLY CHEAP for bubinga. but that obviously means one thing...low quality bubinga. so far tama has the best bubinga.

  • @Ggevorkyan You should probably know what you are talking about before you make those claims.

  • @x8dddx i look back at that comment....and i still carry my previous views that tama does have the best bubinga along with the best maple tied between gretsch/dw/tama.

  • @Ggevorkyan I will not argue that they are bad or low quality, but as a ddrum endorser, I can say that I own this kit, with a different configuration, and during my times of touring and recording, I could not be happier with it's quality.

  • @x8dddx well as long as you like the sound, thats all that matters.

  • @Ggevorkyan Keep in mind these are stock heads as well.

  • the toms are tuned a little high but other wise great

  • sounds amazing

  • mate, both truth and sjc sound really good, i have played both and thoght they both sound great. Ddrums issues were existent, but are basically gone now. Tama have always been a bit dodgy for me, i never realy liked the sound and they did also fall apart about as quickely as ddrums used to.

  • @jobmama14 when did TAMA hardware have issues... the roadpro and iron cobra series are great... most tama endorsers use TAMA hardware. OCDP is still in business... they are selling production kits through guitar center. Bottom line is custom kits are made by keller shells, they sound pretty good to me and many people who spend their hard earned $ on them. DDrum's low end kits are really bad. This Bubinga kit is decent..

  • i usually am not impressed with ddrum but this kit is pretty good... however, the tama bubinga kits are better quality...

  • @quackbeef

That's exactly what I thought. This is definitely impressive though.

  • I agree, but Ddrum are made in USA. Why would Tama be better quality?

  • @oublica ddrum is notorious with bearing edge problems and overall crappy lugs and other hardware... their cheaper kits are such crappy quality. TAMA has better workmanship and has overtaken American companies like Ludwig, Slingerland, and DDrum. If you want high quality American drums seek out custom drum companies like Truth, OCDP, and SJC....

  • Good arguments

  • Ddrum only had bearing edge problems with their lower end kits, and I'm pretty sure their getting much better about it.

I also don't believe Tama has overtaken any companies, especially Ludwig.IMO Ludwig does a much better job than any of the custom companies you mentioned

And you have to keep in mind that this kit is only around 1200 dollars, and compared to a 2500+ tama bubinga kit, its a great value

  • Tama drums are made in Japan and i'm not entirely sure if ddrum shells are actually made in the US

  • dominion series are made in p.r.o.c, bubinga series are made in taiwan, Ddrum custom are made in the usa

  • i thogh only the d2s and diablos were made in China? I thoght dominions were built in taiwan as well? oh well, it sounds good, and lasts longer than the diablo so im not complaining.

  • it would look nice with a drum rack it already sounds nice

  • I have the snare...rings like crazy if you don't know how to tune it (which I apparently don't). I've been using a lot of moon gel killing the sound.

  • The bubingas iis only the inner ply on this kit, He just said so. Think the rest is aspen.

  • was that the kit that was used in step brothers

  • Yup it was.

  • if you want a bubinga kit get a tama starclassic.

  • such as the one on my youtube page? ;-)

    TAMA rules the bubinga scene.

  • and always will :)

  • It's just that these are so much cheaper, 1k for a 6-pce, but of course you get what you pay for. I think the babinga on these is only the inner ply.

  • they are cheaper cause you dont get die casts with the ddrums... plus tama starclassic bubinga sound amazing at like any tuning high, mid or low.

  • @massive0random or a pulse... pulse is the best..

  • @flyingcows547 i hope your joking.

  • @Ggevorkyan haha of course

  • that is one ugly finish to put on a bubinga set!!! leave it natural and varnished, bubinga looks so amazing natural

  • the bubinga is probably inner ply

  • this has nothing on the dios stn kit,

    that kit is amazing!

  • @andwooedwurd I want it. Have you heard it? Hows it sound?

  • @Underscore2112 imagine what you hear in this video with a slightly mellower tone. the wood hoops add even more bottom end. plus those hoops and the tube lugs are much higher end features.

  • @andwooedwurd Thanks. I just wish you could buy add on drums for the STN.

  • looks like a good kit

  • Jason Edwards tought me for a while :D

  • yeyuh
