@elmored007 the nVidia 9600GT is a fairly good graphics card which can handle games like Black Ops, Crysis and Battlefield. The Radeon 4870 x2 is the best card. Btw.. 2GB is quite alot of ram but.. sure you don't wanna upgrade it? :L I have 12GB DDR3 and my card is a 4870 x2.

That's because your CPU is the bottleneck. 2.0 GHZ core 2 duo is not a very powerful CPU for gaming.

You want something like a quad core running at 2.8 to 3.2 GHz.

@mramf1994 If your thinking about upgrading anyway it should be fine if it screws up you can upgrade like you were going to. if you only overclock a bit it should run fine aslong as you have decent cooling (atleast 3 fans on the case) and a decent motherboard when i get my i7 920 i might overclock it from 2.6 to 3 - 3.8

I have amd 5000 dual core+ 2.6 ghz, 9600 gt sparkle calibre, clock speed 770 Mhz, shader clock 2020 Mhz I can run it on high with good fps, i usually play Crysis on very high, but with anti aliasing off. I can run it also on ultra high with AA 8. I get around 15-25 FPS on JUNGLE MAP ! 9600 gt is amaizing when u look how cheap it is. Your problem is procesor its to weak, buy amd 6000+ dual core 3 Ghz ( only 40 euros) or buy amd 5000+ (30 euros)

Nvidia has the 8, 9, gt and gtx series the first digt tells the serie the rest indicate how high the card is in that serie, 9600 should be a medium end card and 9800 a high end. With that computer you should be able to play at highest, but you gotta be kidding if you are thinking about a core 2 duo, buy a core 2 quad or go for a phenom 2 x4 on the AMD, if money isnt problem you should get a core i7.

It will provide slightly better performance with better power mgmt. The new GT 240 only requires a min 300 watt psu.

Haha...rock on. I like the GT240 because I'm too lazy to upgrade my psu. The GT240 doesnt have a psu connector since it requires so little power. This is nvidia's first 40nm graphics card (thats the reason it requires so little power). It wont perform flawlessly with Cysis at ultra high but it'll play just about any game at medium to high levels, adequately (around 26-30 fps). Oh...make sure to get the 1GB DDR5 card. That really helps.
