I loved your video, and I love how you don't automatically assume it's paranormal, you truly try to debunk your evidence. So many paranormal investigation groups out there don't! Keep up the great work, I look forward to catching up on all your videos...from a paranormal investigators group across the sea...
@peetypeet Thanks for checking out the STP Channel and for the kind words. We always look for non-paranormal explainations for the evidence we collect and the experiences we have during investigations. Even if we cannot find an explaination, we are always reluctant to say something is definitely paranormal. I truly believe in the existence of ghosts, but I am very skeptical of 95% of the evidence out there. It's just so rare to capture something legit. That won't stop us from trying though.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure I noticed the specific orbs you mention but there are often orbs flying around our IR and hand-held cameras during investigations. We generally don't put much credence in orbs and, if it was in the attic, there was a lot of dust in the air. Rarely do we find an orb we feel merits posting on video. Unless they are self-illuminating or cast thier own shadow, we usually ignored them. Thanks again though for bringing it to our attention.
Well made video! Can i ask what camcorder modles you are suing? I'm guessing there probably Sony HD Hard drive camcorders are they?? I'm having serious trouble finding a HD one with night vision! If you type in night vision camcorders on Amazon anything but comes up! if you type it in on Ebay mostly in car camcorders from China come up, not much else!
We use the Sony DCR-DVD710. It is one of the few models out there with the actual "Night Shot" mode. It is a discontinued model but I just picked up a second one off eBay last week for just over $200 (slightly used but still in awesome condition). I don't think Sony makes camcorders with the night shot anymore and other settings like "twilight", etc are not the same. You can also light things up even more by using an external light source like a Sima IR illuminator.
@SteelTownParanormal Oh right, i'd heard the Sony DVD camcorders were good! Can you jst shove the dvd from the camera straight into ur computer dvd rom drive for editing/uploading to you tube? I thought Sony still made HD camcorders with Night Shot, as Ghost Hunters & Ghost Lab etc seem to use them? I have a about 3 extra ir illuminators & a few IR torches too! thank you for ur help :o)!
It is possible Sony still makes camcorders with night shot but I have not seen any recently and the guy at Best Buy (where we bought our first one) said he didn't think they did. Yes, you can download from the disc drive but I usually just hook the camera right up to a USB port and download my video into an editing program (I use 2 programs, Sony Picture Motion Browser and VideoPad). Then I download the finished product to YouTube. Hope that helps.
@SteelTownParanormal There deffinately hard to find, that's for sure! I have Digital 8 & Mini DV Sony's with night shot, but i have to record them to dvd, then re encode them from that onto my laptop, then edit, which is a lng process & You Tubes re encode creates some ugly artifacts, well it did on my 1st attempt! I tired hooking my tape ones up through usb & my comp did'nt recognize them! Thank you for ur help once again, cheers :o)!
Thanks for checking out our video. We always have fun when we go on an investigation but it can get a little scary too. There was a time when I would have been out of there but after 7 years doing paranormal research, you tend to harden up.
