  • two people's primers formed a dimer :(

  • BioRad is fine and jolly unless you need to pour a protein gel. I hate that apparatus with the fire of a thousand suns.

    Who's your daddy?

  • lol sooo funny! I love PCR hahaha u made my day..off to the lab now

  • I am going to kiss my PCR too

  • @skiw88 weird, cuz I've wanted to shoot mine a few times

  • I Cried.

  • Are they making fun of "We are the World?"

  • No, biologists really ARE this happy about PCR. Seriously. It's an incredibly useful result of having mapped the human genome.

  • I really love the song ..awesome "When you need to find out whose your daddy. Who's your daddy!?"

    hahahaaaaaa

  • Yes, although in my course (mostly college seniors) I just use it for comic relief.

  • I teach molecular biology, and I use this video during lecture. The students love it - especially when the fellow kisses the thermocycler.

  • Weel, I never tought about it, but you're right, this video is definitely a good support to teach the huge variety of applications using PCR :)

  • Rofl they had to pick a black guy to do the Who's your daddy!

  • LOL...

  • Hahahahaha Biorad when you think PCR think Biorad... I'm just a first year student and I know who Biorad is, they have great marketing...

  • parody of we are the world we are the children song. though they missed the eddie murphy and stevie wonder look a like. lol but all the rest were great hehe.

  • We Use Bio-Rad Quality Control materials in the Chemistry laboratory i work for, and i have to say Bio-Rad has the best products and great customer service.

    BTW great video :)

  • I love this video so much, i just made a science music video (that can be found on youtube by searching "biochem aerobic" )and just HAD to refrence it !!

  • LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Check the linear range. Maybe your calibration curve is not good. Besides, Coomassie blue binds unspecific to proteins. So you won´t get a very accurate result.

  • Awesome video, Im a Biochemistry student, and watched this today between labs, made my day....Even though us scientists (well, Im an aspiring scientist, i guess) may have a stodgy image, we are just as messed up as everyone else, with a wicked sense of humor (when you do/learn this kind of stuff till ur eyes bleed, this video just becomes that much more enjoyable!)

Go BioRad, even though your Coomassie blue isnt as precise or accurate for protein concentration determination as you claim, lol)

  • Coomassie blue isn't really suppossed to measure protein concentration. Do a bradford assay. Then, make a calibration curve of just the protein and figure out the extinction coefficient.

  • Come off it -- this isn't gay at all. It's a bunch of people singing about science, and pretty funny too :)

  • Very gay... but then they are based just outside San Fran.

  • It's weired but funny :D

  • This videao is realy super !!

    Rolf

  • Oh, hells no! This is so gay!
