On Mexico: Didn't we train Afghanistan's rebel forces to fight the Russians? Didn't we arm and train Hussein's regime in Iraq to foght Iran? Won't this just turn around and bite us in the ass too? Quite literally too since Mexico is at our doorstep!
The Carbon Tax is one of the most contrived gov't scams that I've come across yet. The cause of Global Warming as alleged by Al Gore has been pretty much debunked & repudiated by a number of leading scientists. In fact, the creator of the Weather Channel (a meteorological scientist) is currently suing Al Gore (a politician) for fraud over that very subject. CO2 is not a greenhouse gas! This is the most blatant example of P-R-S that I've seen. P-R-S is?
I believe that the Carbon Tax (a $1.4 TRILLION tax - and that's just for starters) is a SCHEME to provide the stepping stone towards global hegemony and an Orwellian brand of enslavement of the world's population. To the government's of the world, it provides a chokehold control of all energy resources, and more importantly the individuals that utilize those resources (which is everyone on the planet). This is addition to the already extremely intrusive and grandly oppressive Federal Income Tax.
So I strongly urge everyone to adamantly and tenaciously OPPOSE THE CARBON TAX (or any incarnataion of it). It's a really bad deal folks. And the fact that a former Vice-President, a former presidential candidate, a POLITICIAN (not a scientist), a long-time member of the Council on Foreign Relations has been doing an incessant sales pitch - utilizing heavy doses of fear-mongering - for years now should make ANYONE take pause, and be very suspicious of his underlying motivations for doing so.
Yeah, they tried to push through the carbon tax late last year in congress. It barely failed to pass (it was a cloture vote). Sen. Barbara Boxer of california was pushing heavily for its passage. Fortunately, it didn't get through. But they'll be trying again very soon - and they have more democratic votes now. It's a little scary.

US soldiers/Private contractors burn down poppy fields all over Afghanistan, destroying the villagers only source of income.
Unless of course it has a Phizer flag sticking up, then the private contractors defend the poppy field with deadly force.
