@gumybear18 Appearently fans who pair Daisuke and Hiwatari have the theory that Hiwatari is in love with Daisuke which sets off the trarnsformation into Krad, since Daisuke transforms as soon as he sses his crush too.

They don't fight yet, because Hiwatari-kun still has a grip over himself, Krad doesnt have full control, even if he got HIS form out, as you have seen the kid can still battle him. Also because in anime's, and manga's, they like to save the best battle for the end.

Hiwatari is his adopted name. His original name is Hikari, which means "light".

The Hikari's (Light) inherit Krad. Maybe they thought it would be redundant to name him "Light." since Krad lives in the Hikari (Light) family.

Well, you're half right.

Kaitou means 'mysterious thief'; a more popular [but equally correct] translation is 'phantom thief'. So, 'Kaitou Dark' would translate to 'Phantom Thief Dark'.

I find it interesting to note that in the subtitles 'kaitou' is sometimes translated into 'phantom thief', sometimes left as 'kaitou'.

lol If i remember correctly from the manga, the artwork Daisuke is stealing is from Satoshi's family... so i guess Krad is either cursing or protecting the art.... it was never specified in the manga as far as i can tell.... and the anime seems to have a different storyline so...
