@bvg83 Don't know which "she" you're speaking of, but Dale was here long before and is much more naturally talented than LGG. None of todays musical gimicks to make you sound better. I'm sure LGG speaks to her generation and that's cool. This band and our generation......the 80s.....well if you weren't there you won't understand. It WAS better in every way!
Gaga is a crap version of Dale, manufactured for pop stardom and now totally owned by corporate music monsters. Nowhere near this level of talent and innovation. Long live Dale and Missing Persons!
@xXPinkGoddessXx auto-tune is used on every song produced in the past 10 years that you would hear on a top 40 radio station. The point is that you don't hear the auto-tune, just the perfectly in tune voice. However popular artists like T-Pain began using auto-tune as a voice modulator to achieve a robotic effect. A singer that sounds better with auto tune would be Brittney Spears.
Actually the " finale " was monday (memorial day) which wasent filmed because of union laws the MTV camera crews where on holiday. And it featured all of the great country western stars of the era including Hank Williams Jr....
I have zero respect for Lady Gaga-she has nothing on Dale man. Come on, she is a rip off artist of Dale and Madonna, with minimal talent. Still, good on her for taking advantage.
Absolutely man. I stated this here 2 years ago and glad you see that too. She was so on it and although she has had troubles in the past few years, who hasn't. No matter what, her contributions are HUGE in music as are Terry's and Warren's.
Looking back, I should've attended this day of the US Festival - not Heavy Metal Sunday. I still listen to Missing Persons, Pretenders, et al. Haven't really given Judas Priest a listen lately!
What a delightfully quirky band. Most of the members have gone on to huge success in the music business. You wouldn't know what they do, but they sure gave 1981-85 a run!
What a great time this was in for the world of music. So many amazing bands like The MIssing Persons. I still have all these cds. Psychedelic Furs, The FIxx, Flock of Seaguls, Level 42, Killing Joke, etc. ...good times
