@theonlymoo5e No, they didn't write it. And they weren't the first to record this song. Have you heard the version by The Cascades? They had that big hiot with "Rythm of the Rain".
Jane is probably the only successful pop singer who was classicaly trained at Julliard and by her mom who was a concert singer and pianist...her dad was with the Boston Symphony Orchestra for 25 years as a cellist.
Every song she sings is so filled with emotion, you can't help but feel what she must feel. A truly amazing performer. I would put her up there among the people I'd love to spend two hours with, just talking about their life. What a voice. There are no performers today, that can match this beautiful woman.
@virgil04dj I agree. Jane Morgan takes any beautiful song and adds her own magical touch. It's too bad she didn't make a bigger impact. I can see her right up there with the likes of Doris Day and Barbra Streisand.
@vinyl45s4ever Perhaps she would've, but she met and married Jerry Weintaub, legendary movie producer in the sixties and retired and had five children by him. She is 90 and lives in Beverly Hills.
I like this, but I will always associate this song with the Bee Gees, especially considering that they wrote it as well.

@theonlymoo5e There also is a very palatable German version called "Seltsamer Traum".
