if you plan to have one, be responsible. I had one, he was awesome, loving schnauzer. Always came to the door when I got home and hopped up onto my lap to watch TV with me, played with my sock whenever I took my boots off. Amazing pet to have/love.

@lilldude24 ...Yes I think they are very smart! They learn fast and are so affectionate and will follow you wherever you go. They are palyful and yet when you just want them to sit on your lap or beside you they are very content to do that too. Always give them lots of praise and they will strive to do what you want them to. I just love them all...

@lilldude24 Schnauzers are one of the top 10 smartest dog breeds, if not easily in the top 5. Very quick and easy to train. My new pup learned her name in less than a week since we got her, the other one can turn on the tv and switch it to Animal Planet. As a consequence of being intelligent, that means they must be stimulated constantly. They need daily walkies and you need to work with them, or they get bored, and get into trouble.

Schnauzer puppies and also grown schnauzers love to wrestle and that is how they play. They are developing their personalities. Sometimes they may bite a little too hard with their little needle teeth but that is part of growing up. They are mainly just having fun...

@XonieO my friends has got one , he is 5 years old (the dog) and if he sees a little child than he jumps on it cause he thinks thats another dog and so he starts to wrestle.

But they are very smart my friend said sit and stay .. he stayed the my friend hides and shout "SEARCH!" and he finds him so adorable! :D

this reminds me of when I first got my mini schnauzer, I automatically called her Baby. I caught her trying to chew a cigarette budd on the ground haha. Shes all dark grey with white tipped paws and a white patch of fur on her chest..sweetest pal i've ever had. she doesnt leave my side..espically when Im sick

i miss having shnauzer puppies, i had a male and a female that made the cutest puppies ever, but the female died and now the male is 12 years old (84 in dog years). i love shnauzers!

Just be there with her when she delivers. Have you delivered puppies before? Ask lots of question from your vet, they can give you a lot of information which will be helpful when it comes time for the delivery. Let me know how everything goes.... It's an exciting time!!.... Monica
