I wish he'd go back to his original style like the webcam version. He got attention and now they try to turn him into a disney kid. I would totally do the same, seeing that its makin him money. But still, the studio recording of this song is such shit compared to the original. No flavor. He doesn't do his Paul McCartney scream at the end or anything and they added Celine Dion reverb to his voice. This kid is definitely the shit though.

I agree with you so much on that - he doesn't sing out from the heart the same way in this version, and I hear that in alot of his recorded songs, which is a shame. Maybe it's a sort of "live" thing though.

yeah his original was definitely better. I dont like what hollywood did with him. His original stuff was much more raw and actually really really good. They recorded him like celine dion...the diva reverb on his vocals and make him out to be too pretty boyish. He doesn't even scream at the end of this like he does in the original.

I most humbly agree. 'Her' was the song that lured me to this artist. The original version was so raw, so pure and filled with emotion. In the original version, he spilled his emotions through his fingers and onto the piano keys. It was amazing! But this version killed the charm in 'Her'. It's been perfected and polished. @stuffandtay they didn't take the emotion out, just cause it sounds professional. if he wrote the music, and he's singing the song, he's got that passion, that fire, and that emotion. nobody can take it away. i don't know, maybe it's cause i'm a musician that i can hear the emotion and verve in his voice, maybe it's just me, but just because they leveled his voice with the piano, it didn't take out the passion, just cleaned the sound up ^_^
