CD's are terrible signal mirrors. They break way too easy and won't reflect as good as even the cheapest "off the shelf mirror". Invest in a good mirror designed for signalling like the starflash. Tough, only 6-10 bucks and designed to do a specific job.

To tell someone they won't last long with a paticular kit and that they should check out your magical videos on your 5 C's is assuming an awful lot of yourself . I find it hard to believe you came up with anything in your videos that has not been covered countless thousands of times by every other armchair survivalist...

Merely laying out a supposed kit without actually going into basic descriptions isn't very helpful. The music doesn't lend to any credibility on forethought, so why make the video ?

I mean there's long term survival or short term. The compass is unnecessary for short term using stars or sun position to tell direction, but for long term I see nothing to make a snare with for food or a basic knife for making kindling, cutting, carving, making traps, etc.

@omiss2006 can be used as tinder for a fire mate or say if you get cut you can use to stop the blood, the best way to make these survival kits is the altoids can, make one and then go through every item and try to think of as many things you can do with it and practice :)

@digitalX198 well from other video's I have watched it looks like this person has some basics covered, fire, navigations, first-aid, signaling & maybe a way to fish or trap, but I would agree this kit is lacking. From other video's I have watched this person should add a metal can, an extra knife, maybe some duck tape & something stronger than floss as cordage. What would u consider a basic kit?

Okay so...

Compass, ferro, whistle, safety pins, various cordage, wire saw, tampons, some sort of thread, looks like bandages, what is that matches? in one of the vials(sp?), I saw what looked like to be a razor blade in another vial(sp?), cd(signal mirror), Don't know what that thing is below the cd, is that duct tape at the top?, don't know what the yellow and black things are next to it, don't know what the black spool is, green spool... tubing?, and don't know what's in the vials(sp?).
