Great...finally!!! a yabbie video.....a dream come true; good things obviously can and do come to those patient enough to wait...and this one was well worth the wait!
Living in the S.E. US most folks have had and usually love mud bugs. I've only had them once, during a trip in D.C we stopped off in Maryland at a resturant called Phillips (pretty well known). It was their take on New Orleans crawfish boil. The potatoes, corn and sausage were good. But the crawfish had too much seasoning. It wasn't the heat / spice that got me, it was the intense flavor. It was over powering, to say the least.
YUM! I love eating crawdads. There's a stream we throw a trap in and catch 200-300 at a time..... schuck them all and have a big crawdad chowder. YUM! Thanks for the vid mate! CHEERS!
I'm with the little girl: YUCK! I have never had the guts to even try to eat a crawfish. Just seems like too much work for such little meat. Kind of like chicken wings! I prefer a big breast or thigh! :o)
good video but yabbies not that big

Good video, I would rather eat a prawn or a lobster though, yabbies don't have much taste.

@DownUnderDoug I've never tasted one, and probably never will. Prawns are edible, but never tried crayfish either. Not a seafood fan.

When I saw the title I expected to see at least a 10 pounder, not a half grown prawn, hahaha :)
Nothing like a good feed of yabbies mate, ut that bush pizza looked alright too. Cheers mate :)

@ThatWeirdFatBloke haha, it was a big deal at the time... the only yabbie that was caught on the trip. There were none in the Cooper Creek.
