yeah i learned using the phono to line switches which are the reverse of the x fader. i got a much cleaner cut from the switches. regret it now cause it limits some scratch patterns if a club mixer doesn't have hamster.

i have 2 technics 1210's but a little bit of advice never buy a stanton mixer there a bag of wank they break easy always go with vestax and ive used vestax decks at my college there ok but there to powerfull they aint got a nice feel compaired to a technics
